Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Dagenham update, we are heading into the final stretch of the season. In Euro league play it has become nostalgia with playing team from last season euro matches. We met Wolfsberg in quarter finals, and have advanced to FC Porto we lost first in the first leg 1-0. Both of these we faced last season.

In BPL play we are in the final four matches. We are in front in league play by only 2 points over Chelsea who we face next. We lost to them in the first meeting. Ashley Chambers has been a terror for opponents his main opponent has been staying healthy. But this season it has not been too bad and he has capitalized with 40 BPL goals. At the conclusion of the season will bring World Cup.

      Players of the Month

Right, so, I wanted to continue this style of finding out the Player of the Year, so here goes the point system. I pick 3 players and give them points respectively on how they did in my opinion.

Starting from 1 point, Joleon Lescott. Was the best player in the Sunderland game and really enjoyed his presence in the back. Been the best defender next to Arias, who has shown him from a good side aswell, but hasn't been in the league too long.

2 points go to Stephane Sessegnon. Scoring a goal and being really good in the midfield, building up the play and starting most of our attacks. Obviously he is the main link in our midfield and hopefully our most impactful player this season.

3 points go to Brown Ideye. He scored two goals and also gave an assist. A pacey player, getting past defenders and really being a threat constantly.

      Spoiler
Good choice with West Brom however, you have high standards with Docklanders the YouTuber doing an amazying CM with them.

Also happy you have adpoted MY (joking XD) voting system, the key is to also choose the players that haven't scored all the goals. But I know you'll vote them accordingly.

      Looking forward to it

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

First of all, thank you to everyone for the support and love. I appreciate it so much. Makes things a lot easier when you know that there are people taking your side and refraining from judging you.

That said, life has become a bit more stable in the last 24 hours or so. From what my attorney has told me, it seems that she isn't going to contest the terms of our out-of-court settlement (which I think is quite generous given the circumstances). That's a huge relief as I get to keep most of my wealth (self-made) and property (family-owned). Plus, I won't have to make monthly payments for the upkeep of her and her child.

Sportsfreak's revelation has also helped put things into perspective. I have it a lot better than many people do, because as cliched as it sounds, things really could be much worse. I've always been a quick healer with physical wounds, but it seems I'm getting there with the emotional ones, too. You guys have helped a lot.

            FIFA 15 | PS3 | Season 1 | 2014-15

            Los Blanquillos

            March 2015

            Mar 1st
            Liga Adelante
            Match 29
            Zaragoza 2-1 Alcorcón

            Sanz 38' SENT OFF
            Mora 58'
            Borja 64' (Álamo)
            Borja 79' (Ruiz de Galarreta)

            MotM: Borja Bastón

Completely unintentional effort that hit the post!

The first half was completely dominated by us but we were unable to convert any chances. Álamo even failed to convert a penalty in the 17th minute. Falcón diving the right way and getting his left hand to it. Captain Rubén Sanz was the one who gave the penalty away sliding in on Álamo. He was already on a yellow card after a late challenge on Borja. The ref didn't book again however until he made another late tackle on Borja, again, and this time the ref had no choice to send him off. We were playing good football and now were a man up so I thought "Easy win now." That wasn't the case and with one of Alcorcón's few shots on goal they scored. Mora drifted in behind an out of position Miquel and got on the ball. He okayed it down the left of the box to the left winger who squared it back across to Mora denying Óscar any chance of saving the tap in. Our talisman Borja got us back in it however on 64 minutes. Álamo won the ball back while tracking back and eventually it was worked to Ruiz de Galarreta on the right. He avoided a sliding challenge and played Álamo down the right into the space. He swung in an excellent cross which was met by Borja who climbed above and dominated the CB in the air. Borja then won it for us 11 minutes from time when he picked the ball up in between the defence and holding midfielders from Ruiz De Galarreta. He used some quick feet to get around the defender and then as he got in line with the penalty spot just passed it with his left foot into the net past Falcón.

            Mar 7th
            Liga Adelante
            Match 30
            Santander 0-2 Zaragoza

            Munir 8' (Suárez)
            Suárez 18' (Tarsi)

            MotM: Diego Suárez

Finally a clean sheet! Substitute Munir scored early. He had to come on for Romero as he picked up a Bruised Elbow. Suárez chipped the ball over the defence where Munir used his pace to get to the ball and then was composed enough to finish past Raúl. This had come just after Suárez hit the post after a great team move to start the game. Suárez got on the score sheet with a header 10 minutes later. Tarsi picked him out perfectly from the right with a cross. Suárez looped the header over Raúl in between the sticks to double our advantage. A minute later Suárez raced through after dispossessing the CB but Raúl came out quickly and saved. Nothing much happened and we were comfortable with Alcolea making his first real save of the afternoon in the 53rd minute, getting down well to save a shot from a narrow angle. Santander wasted some more chances before Raúl pushed a Suárez effort from outside the box onto the post. Alcolea then made an excellent reaction save to deny a header from 6 yards. He also pushed it away from danger allowing us to clear the ball straight away. A solid performance from the B Team.

            Injury
            Jaime Romero
            - Bruised Elbow, 8 Days.

            Match 31
            Zaragoza 1-0 Albacete

            Borja 47' (Porcar)

            MotM: Óscar Whalley

            Wonderful stop.

A second consecutive clean sheet was mostly thanks to Óscar in goals making some excellent and important saves including a penalty from Cesar. In total he made 11 saves! Cabrera also had a good game at the heart of the defence. Borja got us the sole goal of the game shortly after halftime taking the ball off Oritz and attacking the back 4. He passed it Porcar and found himself some space. Porcar spotted this and gave it back to Borja. He took a touch into the box and finessed it around Domínguez. Albacete pressurized but couldn't beat Óscar.

            Mar 21st
            Liga Adelante
            Match 32
            Recreativo 2-2 Zaragoza

            Pedro 15' (Álamo)
            Expósito 53'
            Porcar 72' (Borja)
            Jesús Vásquez 78'

            MotM: Javi Álamo

Whalley made a good close range save that allowed us to break on the counter attack. It ended in Pedro getting his 10th goal of the season. He made a run inside the right fullback onto Javi Álamo's pass and calmly placed it around Sotres. He and Whalley exchanged saves before Recreativo put a header over the bar following a corner. Pedro wasted a long range free kick before the end of the half. Expósito then leveled in the 53rd minute getting in between 3 defenders inside the box and shooting low past Whalley. The team responded within 20 minutes through a one-two by Borja and Porcar. The latter then held off Vega while running through and finished low across Sotres. It was all level 6 minutes later however when a pass out of defence was intercepted by Vásquez. He played it into Joselu who committed and held off Miquel. This left space for Vásquez to run into and receive Joselu's pass. Cabrera was unable to get across and Whalley stood no chance as Vásquez slotted it past him. That was how the game would end with a tightly fought point the reward for both teams.

            Match 33

            Vicente 45' (Pen)
            Suárez 81' (Basha)
            Romero 90' (Munir)

            MotM: Jaime Romero

We completely dominated this game but only in the last 10 minutes did we win it. The penalty decision was a terrible one. Alcolea punched the ball clear from a corner. The player that went up to challenge him fell to the ground and the ref said Hadzic pushed him. Vicente did a little stutter and sent Alcolea the wrong way. Suárez leveled it making some space between 2 defenders and shooting powerfully past Biel Ribas. He then headed a corner just inches over the crossbar and I thought the chance to win it had gone. Luckily though Munir managed to exploit his pace down the right and beat the left back. He got into the area in line with the 6 yard box and fired a low cross back to Romero who finished it first time with his right foot for the winner! Romero deserved it as he has been in really good form with the B Team this month.

Real Zaragoza Player of the Month

            Diego Suárez

The B Team striker earned us 6 points this month, scoring one and assisting the other in the 2-0 victory against Santander while also kick starting the revival with the first goal against Numancia. He has been a consistent performer up front for the B Team and doesn't complain about his role as he is a team player. He currently has the most assists in the team with 9 showing that he is a team player also.

He has settled in the RW slot and the 5'11" attacker has it seems enough pace to play there and also a finishing touch. Bright things are expected.

Gabriel Rodriguez - (Spain) RB, 38-46 Ovr, 66-82 Pot, 15 (Defensive Minded) - The 5'8" 15 year old is the second addition to the Zaragoza Academy. He looks like he will be either a defender or a defensive midfielder seeing as his best stats are his defensive one. Particularly his standing tackle and strength. He has decided to be a right back even though he is left footed. With a lack of pace he is most likely to be a CB. I hope he will grow though.

              Tierno 90' (Suárez)

              MotM: Eldin Hadzic

An early penalty converted by Hadzic and won by Suárez got us rolling. Hadzic then headed in a Romero corner on the stroke of halftime to give us a deserved 2-0 lead. He started his run deep and climbed above 2 defenders before finishing powerfully past Prieto. A chipped ball over the defence into the box should have been comfortably dealt with by Llorente but Yuri gave him a little push meaning he completely missed it. This allowed Yuri to use his strength and poke the ball past Alcolea. Prieto made a strung of 3 saves from Tierno, Romero and Hadzic before he was eventually beaten for a third time by Tierno. Suárez back heeled the ball through Alberto's legs and into Tierno's path. He held off Jonathan before shooting just inside the D with his left foot to the right of Prieto. A convincing win in the end.

              Borja 47' (Dorca)

              MotM: Borja Bastón

We dominated this game with Borja getting a brace and reaching the 20 goal mark for the season while Pedro added his 11th. In the first half we used our usual 4-3-3 and changed to a 4-1-4-1 in the second to try it out. I then decided to try a 4-4-1-1 with one of the CMs converted to a CDM. They all worked fairly well. Porcar played the ball into Borja's run in between the 2 centre halves where he finished as always. The second came soon after with Pedro getting space on the left to run into the box and shoot across Nauzet. Miquel came out to challenge but Hidalgo chipped it over him and into the space he left. Collantes ran onto it and had all the space in the world to score past Whalley. Just after the half Borja made another well timed run past the defence and went through to score his second.

              Moreno 88'

              MotM: Álvaro Tierno

2 corners in the last 10 minutes gave a goal a piece to each teams and once again we drew against a bottom team. The first half was all us with Alcolea making his first save in the 45th minute. The second half started well for us and Leganés should have had a man sent off for a mistimed sliding tackle on Suárez as he raced through on goal. Somehow the ref thought it wasn't even a free let alone a red even though it was a blatant foul. Álvaro Tierno broke the Leganés goal with a header off a Hadzic corner but then Leganés started to attack with 10 minutes to go. Alcolea kpt us in it with some good saves when they got in behind our defence but was unable to save the header from Moreno. Munir left him free at the back post and he wasn't going to miss.

              Dorca 39'
              Adama 40'

              MotM: Dorca

A first half flurry gave us all 3 points here but we still couldn't keep a clean sheet when a minute after Dorca's goal Adama tapped in the rebound from a saved Sandro shot. Borja got his 20th league goal cutting inside Macky, who managed to get a toe on the ball but it stayed in Borja's path nonetheless. Álamo then dispatched a penalty which Macky brought down Pedro for. And to complete a terrible first half for Macky he was dispossessed by Dorca inside the box allowing Dorca to score a third. Sandro can closest with several attempts in the second half with one striking the outside of the post. We need to strengthen our defence if we are going to compete in La Liga next season.

The youth graduate Tierno excelled in the CAM role with the B Team this month chipping in with 2 goals, 1 of which earned us a point against Leganés. The other was late against Ponferradina which sealed it and made sure of no comeback.

The left footed shot stopper's best attribute at the minute looks to be his kicking. We hope that he can be our future No.1 as well as his country's No.1.

*Laurenco Pauleta - (Portugal) ?, 55-69 Ovr, 71-89 Pot, 15 (Unknown) - Laurenco is the first non Spanish player to join our Academy. The Portuguese looks like a technical player and possibly will be a winger from his initial report. He will be assessed further to determine his future position.

Those are two amazing dogs! German shepherd is one of my favorite breeds. What breed is the pup? Black Lab?

Yes sir! Those two have always been my 2 favorite breeds so I got crazy and got the new puppy when I saw her at my local pet store (adoption agency was on site that day). Little bugger is giving me some work with the potty training.

Nice man. I have 3 Inuit Dogs. Massive creatures. 1 we've had since a puppy, her names Spice and she's 9. Our other girl, Sable was a rescue as she was beaten by her previous owners. She's 8. Lovely dog. The third is Loki, another rehome and our only boy. Nightmare. 3 or 4 years old, and pisses on the freezer, washing machine and cupboards. Has taught himself how to open the microwave, the oven and the door. Still love him to bits though.

                            FIFA 15 - Season 1

                            Blanquiazules’

                            April 2015

                            Getafe CF 2 - RC Deportivo 1
                            GET - Rhodes 49', Felip 51'
                            DEP - Perez 73'
                            MOTM: Lux

Juanfran's clearance was deflected by Castro up into the air and landed in the box right at Rhodes' feet for the quick strike into the bottom right corner. Felip doubled the lead after Oscar played him through on goal into the empty space left by Insua and Medunjanin being out of position and he slotted it past the keeper to the bottom right corner. Juan Dominguez played Costa down the left side of the box and he sent a low cross in for Postiga to have denied by the keeper straight to Perez for the tap in to cut the lead in half.

                            RC Deportivo 0 - Cordoba CF 0
                            MOTM: Lux

Cordoba had the majority of the chances this match, but couldn't get past German Lux in goal. Still, they were the superior team and likely deserved the win. Deportivo had a late chance to win it when Cavaleiro had a good look but sailed the ball wide left in the 90th minute.

                            Real Sociedad 3 - RC Deportivo 2
                            SOC - Martinez 42', Gutierrez 45', Castro 90'
                            DEP - Cuenca 29', Perez 57'
                            MOTM: Gutierrez

Medunjanin played it to Bergantiños in the middle of the field and he quickly slid it over to Cuenca on the right side of goal for the easy finish past the keeper to the far post. De La Bella found Martinez with a great ball up the middle of the box and he finished first time past the keeper for the equalizer. Canales made a great turn past Insua on the right side of the box and picked out Gutierrez with a cross for a header into the back of the net. Fariña played the ball to Luisinho overlapping on the left wing and he sent a cross into the box that landed at Perez's feet on the back post for the quick equalizer. Vela played a ball forward in the air that Agirretxe headed down for Castro to run onto at the edge of the box and hit it on the half volley for a beautiful strike to the far post.

                            RC Deportivo 0 - Atletico Madrid 2
                            ATL - Juanfran 32' (OG), Dzeko 38'
                            MOTM: Godin

Koke attacked down the left wing and sent a cross into the box. Juanfran positioned himself well to clear it and rose up to head it away, only to direct it backwards into his own net in a baffling mistake. Koke sent a corner into the box and picked out Dzeko for a powerful header past the keeper to double the lead for Atletico.

                            Malaga CF 1 - RC Deportivo 2
                            MAL - Amrabat 48' (PEN)
                            DEP - Postiga 85' 90'
                            MOTM: Lux

Cuenca undercut Musa as he jumped to meet the ball in the air and the referee awarded a penalty that Amrabat tucked away into the bottom right corner. With time running low, Valeron dribbled towards the top right corner of the box, and then found Postiga making a run for a first time strike just inside the box that rocketed into the top right corner for an equalizer. Lux booted the ball up field to Postiga after a corner from Malaga and he was able to go on the counter while the defense was still making their way back and he beat the last two defenders to go through on goal and slot it home into the bottom right corner.

                            Elche CF 1 - RC Deportivo 1
                            ELC - Rodrigues 90'
                            DEP - Dominguez 21'
                            MOTM: Dominguez

Guerra got the ball to the top left corner of the box and made a turn inside to find Dominguez on a run straight up the middle for the easy right footed finish past the keeper. Pelegrin took the ball away straight from Lux's goal kick and quickly played it across the box to Rodrigues for the finish on the open goal for the equalizer to earn a point for Elche.

Deportivo La Coruña Player of the Month

                            Pablo Insua

Pablo Insua was consistent in a month where the attack was suffering, but the defense held their own. Leading the back line from the center, he was effective in his marking, tackling, and clearances. He is expected to continue to grow into a leadership in the defense and hopefully turn into a future captain for the club after working his way through the academy to become a first choice player.

                            Manager Comments

Terrible Form - In one of the worst times to be hitting it, we have run into a stretch of poor form. Only managing 1 win this month, and having to take a point in other matches that should have been wins. We are sliding down the table now, and with 4 matches left it won't get any easier. The remaining 4 are Villarreal, Bilbao, Levante, and Barcelona.

Academy Update - Two potentially big time prospects have been added to the academy. 15 year old Bruno Carmona is a midfielder who appears to have potential for days. 16 year old Xavier Arangoa has also joined and has the look of a defender who can play both inside and outside on the back line. Both players could be key parts for the future of the club, but we will have to keep a close eye on their development.

Where Have They Gone? - The attack was strangely absent this month after being the strong point for the entire season. The defense held it's own, but the lack of goals is what led to the number of losses and draws this month. We have to combine the best of both sides if we want to get better. We are capable of great things, but we have to figure out how to put 90 minutes together at a high level.

I am leading the league 18 points with 5 games to play (legendary). Seems good. But while playing a match I felt so frustrated and took the DVD out and smash it into 2 pieces.

How can a game that you are leading and winning still peeve you off? I ask myself.

I vow never to play FIFA ever. Last straw. Hey I felt happy now.... Going to play Dragon Age.... much much better.
