    Burnley Football Club
    Season 1
    October

    Squad

    Spoiler

    Games

    Premier League
    Matchday 7
    Burnley 1-1 Leicester City
    10' Heaton (OG)
    30' Lowe (Kightly)

    MOTM: Michael Kightly

Number of starting English players: 9

What a game. The home team took the lead early, as a cross into the box got fumbled by Heaton into our net. Yet the star of the hour was the youngest player on the pitch, as Nathan Lowe scored his first goal for us - a great header hit well after a cross from Kightly. Another point, which was pretty sad, since we were the only team that scored that day.

    Premier League
    Matchday 8
    West Ham 2-0 Burnley
    36' Nolan (Demel)
    72' Nolan (Song)

    MOTM: Dean Marney

Number of starting English players: 8

Sadly, West Ham played a lot better than us. Kevin Nolan scored twice. His first was a great cross into the box and a beautiful header, which Heaton did get to deflect, yet it still went in. His second came from a through pass from Song, where he got through on goal and beat the keeper 1-on-1. Another 3 points lost, yet this time, we actually looked very bad, compared to the Hammers.

    Premier League
    Matchday 9
    Everton 2-1 Burnley
    16' Lukaku (Coleman)
    44' Lukaku (Naismith)
    62' Marney (Ward)

    MOTM: Dean Marney

Amount of starting English players: 9

As Coleman played the ball into the box, it got cleared by Keane, yet it landed right infront of Lukaku, who volleyed it to the top corner. Half an hour later, we made a defensive mistake, allowing Romelu through on goal, where he doubled the score line. Marney did get one back, as Ward passed him the ball from a free-kick just outside the box, and he smashed it in. Still, last game of the month was another loss.

    League Table

    My Thoughts

Whats this, Cruzerr posting two days in a row? Impressive? Eh, just had a bit more time so I figured why not? :P

Bad form continues - We are looking more and more like the real life Burnley. Sadly, things are not getting too much easier.

Injury update - Bishop, Bennett and Shackell are all back, yet George Boyd broke his ankle, meaning that he will be out for another 8 weeks.

Next month - The month will start with an away game against Arsenal, followed by another away trip to the Britannia stadium to face Stoke. Then, we get to go back home and play against both Hull City and Aston Villa.

I hope you enjoyed this post, please, if you have any feedback, do let me know!

I'm ready to start. And as you have the priority this year, you get to post first. I hope this plays out well.

You don't even know how much I would love to join in and make it 3-way with me as 'Gladbach, but my exams are in the way at the moment I tried this last year with Regens but it didn't work out so I'd have loved to try again

Does anybody know how to get pictures from zimbio.com to work on OS? They have lots of good football photos (especially for the Russian league and lower English leagues), but they never work here. Any help would be appreciated.

Also, I will try to catch up and comment on everyone's CMs later tonight.

They never work for me either, but I've literally just thought of an idea. You could screenshot the picture and paste the URL of the screenshot in your post.

That would be great, but maybe another time, I don't know quite how we'd add you in, but come time that you could, maybe we could find a way.

                Borussia Dortmund

Simple, not much happened, just a couple transfers and one simmed friendly.

                Transfers In:

                Martin Odegaard - €2,000,000

                Yussuf Poulsen - €3,000,000

                David Alaba - €16,500,000 + Schmelzer

                Transfers Out:

                Kevin Grosskreutz - €3,800,000

                Friendly:

                V. Inter Milan: 1-1
                Simmed

                -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That is all for this month, I think it was a good month, and with that, I hand it over to Cruzerr.

EDIT: I just realized I have to do my next month as well before Cruzerr can post because it's still a transfer month lol.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Regens & Cruzerr: So you guys can't purchase the same players, and when you're going to sell a player you can't accept an offer from the rival team, but if you decide to sell a player whether because of bad form or personal preference, can the other user purchase him in their career after you've already sold him in yours? I think it could make some good stories if you guys can do that. For example a player flops with Regens, Regens sells him to a any team except Cruzerr's, but then Cruzerr purchases him in his career and becomes a star player with his team.

Also, what if instead of taking turns with the priority transfer rule, the priority transfer goes to whoever has a higher league position in their career. So if for example Cruzerr goes into January as 3rd in his career, but Regens is 2nd in his, then Regens gets the priority transfer even if he already had priority in in the last window. If both users are 1st then priority will be decided by point difference and/or goal difference. This approach can be used to decide any other things as well.

You could also do this the other way around, so the priority would be given to whoever is worse in the league and therefore needs the transfers more than the other. These are just a couple things that came to mind as I was reading.

Like you pointed out you really are starting to look like more and more like the Burnley in real life. 1 point from all those games isn't good at all. Hopefully you can turn the form around. Boyd's injury looks horrific! 8 months has to be the longest time I've seen on FIFA this year.

I like both of them as well, so do you want to do who is worse in the league gets priority, or better? For this summer I guess I'll take it, and then whatever we choose would be the option in January, and then for the next summer it'd be whoever finished better/worse for who gets it then. Also, my next update will be out soon.

Lets do that who finishes better, gets priority. Waiting for your second post then, :P

Hopefully you can turn the form around. Boyd's injury looks horrific! 8 months has to be the longest time I've seen on FIFA this year.

Yeah, I am trying to turn the form around but judging my next matchups, it looks quite difficult. Also, my bad with the typo, Boyd is injured for another 8 weeks, not months. Sorry.

Second post will go up shortly, about to play the last game before the update. Might have a huge signing, depending on if this player accepts his contract.

EDIT: Unfortunately, as I feared, he has declined. Am now on deadline day trying to find a different big signing.
