My observations after playing 4 games last night..

Game is playing very well. Had some great matches.

Fullbacks still tucking inside too frequently which allows the cpu to play it out to the wing and have tons of open space.

Still on the fence about RF at 2 since I play 15 minutes and would like the cpu to build up as much as possible.

Fouls are there but overall feel like we could get some more physicality in play.

Outside of those few things, I’m really happy with the sliders.

The games were all
Played on slow speed. Also think a tick higher on FT wouldn’t hurt to make the game a little more sloppy.

It appears to only address a problem for some with game crashing (never had a problem personally), so very small update.

This is still such a bad showing from EA, Sony, Microsoft. I understand there are contract rights and processes to go thru but 1.08 is still not out on consoles literally a week after pc and they issue another update on pc. It’s an absolute joke!

These things usually need sheep-dipping, so the longer it is tested on consoles by Sony & Microsoft before they release it, the better!

I’m sure it has nothing to do with extra testing as surely they wouldn’t introduce an update in the first place if it hadn’t been tested on all platforms. It’s all contractual crap and should not take a week to update consoles!

My undedicated guess is that this is strictly an EA thing despite the line of blaming Microsoft and Sony. Just like they blamed Sony for the lack of saves slots last year. My thinking is that after a terrible launch they are holding back the update so they can release as close as possible to Black Friday so they can try and entice those on the fence to buy it. Everyone loves updates and if someone isn't following the news as close as us around here they'd see a new update and maybe be convinced that they should get the game since EA is "improving" things.

Good call about Black Friday actually. Sucks big time but you have a point. Money grabbing tw@ts! Definitely nothing to do with testing.

Think about it. The release was a mess & initial updates caused some major problems that have since been (largely) rectified. It makes perfect sense for Sony & Microsoft to insist on a higher degree of scrutiny, as opposed to Steam which is fair to say, more open-source than the two BIG companies!

Random question if an acceleration discrepancy in favor of the CPU makes Pro and WC a bit more challenging would having one in favor of the user make legendary easier? Also is there a limit to how big the acceleration gap can be on WC/Pro?

The only thing with giving the user a acc boost is your players will fatigue really fast and the players you didn't get subbed out could be dead by games end.

You could try maybe a -1 for the cpu I guess, but then you would have to look at whether the cpu was tiring evenly with your players, do they still make 3 subs a game and so on. Personally I feel if you are good enough to play at legendary then you really shouldn't need any "extra" help.

I remember with fifa18 (my first fifa) I used +1 sprint @ pro difficulty until I got a handle on the game and I actually started from *cough* semi-pro, then I finally dropped it when I could hold my own and could actually setup goal opportunities without just running past and around the cpu fullbacks and found myself playing on World Class after a couple of months.

You could always play with Ajax or Celtic.. both of whom are clearly miles ahead of anyone in their leagues if your looking for easier winning chances, not sure if that's what your actually asking so forgive me if I'm reading this wrong. On a side note.... it took me 2 seasons last year to get Sunderland out of League 1 then another 3 seasons to get them out of the Championship, so if it's frustration with lack of success... I can fully relate

Thanks for the explanation. I'm fine on world class right now. I was bored at work and just had the random thought about the acceleration discrepancy and wondered about it's effects.

I like the struggle of building a club so losing isn't an issue I mean it is but it's isn't. [emoji3] If I was using Liverpool and getting thrashed I might have an issue but I like the mid and lower table teams so I expect poor performances and to lose or draw a lot. Two of my favorite CMs last year were being a yo-yo club with Rayo Vallecano and West Brom.

As much as I would like to play on Slow, it's hard with the wingers and fullbacks letting up on defense as your player is heading toward their box. Seeing it very little on Normal, but the "herky-jerky" animation is tough to withstand. Anyone else seeing defensive let ups on Slow?
