Are you playing World Class or Legendary? I'm going to try your new set this weekend.

Legendary and slow game speed. I have passing and shooting set to semi and long balls and through balls to manual.

Really not sure why EA would do this, but for some reason Marking seems to be programmed differently for CPU and User.

You can see it clearly on the player position HUD at the bottom of the screen. When the CPU have the ball and are attacking, all of your players decide to stick to the nearest CPU player like glue. Doesn't matter where they are on the pitch, so your strikers/wingers that are suddenly behind the play will decide to get tight to the CPU CBs/full backs for absolutely no reason.

When you have the ball however, the CPU players don't do this and just defend normally.

Experimenting with this, so far it's still happening with Marking as low as 28, but by that point the CPU AI becomes too lax and are easy to exploit.

I'm going to try putting User Marking mega low, maybe even below 10 and leaving CPU at 50 and see if this helps. In nearly any match, even close ones and draws, I currently have pretty much double the amount of shots that CPU do, so maybe this'll help level that out somewhat too.

So what is your 'definitive' sliderset now? And which difficulty and halftime you play. Just started Fifa 19 career on Switch and totally enjoy it!

does this sliders improve the difficulty? 'cause for me legendary is way toooooooo easy. the cpu players always keep the ball for too long and it is easy to tackle off the ball

Re: FIFA Legacy Games on Nintendo Switch?

I've used Bixers slider set for a while now. They are really decent. However, nothing with the switch version is perfect. From what I've gathered the Switch version is most similar to the last FIFA game on the Xbox 360, which I believe is FIFA 15. I've used those sliders as a base as well.

At one point Bixer and I were working on a set. (Mostly Bixer - because at the I was working insane hours and didn't have much time after we started on them.

Ultimately, I would love to work on a community set like what the forum guys do with the game on the PS and XB version. But I think we'd have to have more than 2 people working on them. But a lot of people abandoned this and now the people playing on Switch is so low.

I think it boils down to the issue with the Legendary Edition. If no one plays it and draws others in, then we run the risk of possible getting a Switch Pro at some point with no new FIFA. I get the laziness argument with EA over the Switch version. I'm fortune to be able to afford it every year and I get a sense of paying for the same version, but if we abandon it all together then we could use it all together.

Re: FIFA Legacy Games on Nintendo Switch?

On switch legendary slow, i noticed the 1st goal normally comes around 15 - 20 mins mark. Have played the legacy Fifa21 on switch till season in 2027.

Somehow it feels scripted to me. anyone notice this as well? also I hardly end up in 0-0 draws.

Hoping that these sliders add a little more 'randomness' to the game.

Re: FIFA Legacy Games on Nintendo Switch?

There is a lot of things like that, scripting has been a main topic of concern and arguments throughout the Fifa community. In fact, there has been several post and comments on blogs and such about. I just chalk it up to it is what it is. A lot of folks find that a way to say boycott or stop buying it but the sad hard reality is, this is it. Unless another game studio produces a great soccer game and can snag the licensing away from EA, this is what we have.

Can everyone post there current slider set?

I would like to start taking a deep dive comparing, I think as I said before if there are more than one or two of us working on a set, we will have more success like the PS and XB guys have done.

Re: FIFA Legacy Games on Nintendo Switch?

Wow after my earlier post, I tried this guy's sliders on my switch. Of course, pretty much all sliders out there are for next gen / consoles. Fifa 21 was pretty much the only game I had on switch before this.

                      His youtube ID is TheTrueBrits.

The only changes I did were:

Legendary -> on World Class as he suggested, it felt somewhat easy (even on everything Manual) and I did not really need to think what I was doing in terms of strategy.

7 mins half -> I prefer to have a slower and more methodological game. Technically 14 mins for the game + extra time is around 15 mins, which is a nice number for me.

Camera to Enhanced Broadcast (10,0) -> this is to be able to see part of the audience stands as part of the atmosphere while close enough to do 1 v 1.

Power bar 65 -> personal pref. anywhere from 55 to 70.

As mentioned in the video, I think the key here is to set Manual controls. It makes every pass and shot feel important and calculated, as well as adding that bit of 'randomness' I was looking for. In Fifa21, I was doing semi all the way and decided to switch to Manual. I'm getting good vibes so far, its not very difficult to be frank, just a tad more calculated.

                      * Update: I'm comfortable enough with these sliders to begin my managerial career, till Fifa 2023 comes out.

                      So long!

I'd also like to know what others are using for Fifa 22 on Switch. I've tried a couple of different versions but it's either way too easy or impossible to get realistic gameplay.

Honestly, I've given up on FIFA. I got it when it was on sale and to be quite honest, I felt robbed even with using points on the eshop I had laying around and the sale price.

18/19 versions of the game were really decent and the sliders worked adjusting them similarly to what the guys do with FIFA on Xbox/PS. 20 wasn't too terrible but 21 and 22 IMHO, just went to the terrible realm. No matter what slider set, it's either WAY, WAY too easy or it's so unrealistic and unfair (life in video games is like real life, it's not supposed to be fair), however, there is a line of decently fair between challenging and garbage that the CPU just runs right over. I've seem WAY TOO many times the CPU scores literally through players and scoring from angles that physics just would never allow. And while the player team turns into gumby sloths that even with a seasoned FIFA player, you just can't balance enough to make it realistic. Yes, there are shocker moments.... But not every game. Trust me, I've tried every conceivable slider set and the balance (even accepting somethings just will never be correct), isn't reasonably acceptable.

Therefore, I switched over to FM Manager Touch 21 and 22 are phenomenal and play incredible and if you are a true football nut outside of the game? Give it ago! I was horrible at it for a while but started learning and it's the absolute best football sim, hands down. Will definitely not be picking up FIFA again.

Thanks for your reply. I think I'm at that point now as well. I've been a pretty avid Career Mode player for quite a few years, but last year's Xbox/PS version was pretty bad and this year is even worse. I thought the Legacy edition on Switch would play like older versions and bring back the nostalgia with the added bonus of gaming anywhere. But it quickly became obvious this wasn't the case.

I've also been considering Touch and from what you've said it looks like it could be the one for me. Will be a shame to miss the gameplay side of things but a big part of FIFA was the transfers, training etc. Plus I used to be obsessed with FM when I was younger. I reckon I'll give it a go. Thanks!
