in red the play made this year, in blue the one they would have made in FIFA 23.

Guys, how are you finding goalkeepers on 48. I’m still waiting for the standard edition to drop. But in the beta they were awful, always conceding at the near post like 90% of the time.

I’m hoping they have improved in the final game seen as Matt has them at 48.

Yeah man, already loving that they cross the ball way more now. I used to leave them open just to make the cross in 23. I hope the AI shoots on sight more than in 23 that would make it perfect. I have preordered the standard edition since I never touch online so waiting for 29th.

I won't be using my 10 hours trial from Xbox Game Pass until they bring back something that even old gen still has.

This ridiculous intro and the referee first person camera after are insanely pathetic.

Back in 90s/00s I though games in the future would be unbelievably realistic. Now, because of a whole new addicted and neurologically destroyed multiplayer zombies generation, everything is actually the opposite.

Immersion and realism seems to be even offensive nowadays. Dopamine rush of TikTok videos is the priority for young people. They won't lose their time doing a long cutscene if they can please them just doing a small resume of everything before the match in 30 seconds.

Amazing sliders, game plays the best it’s ever played with these sliders and slow game speed IMO

The sliders have made the game great to play. But I do have two issues so far.

1. It's too easy to run past everyone. Even with weak teams, as long as you sprint, they rarely bother trying to tackle you.

2. Far too many shots per game. I play 30 minute matches, but ending the game with 40 - 50 shots between the two teams.

I wonder if there are any sliders we can alter to change this.

I think there is far too much space all over the pitch which is why there are so many shots.

For reference I play world class, fuma, 30 minute matches, slow speed. Haven't tried CM yet, don't know if it plays differently.

Definitely see a lot of potential this year though. Just hope EA don't pander to the streamers too much and speed the game up.

Default gameplay on slow is almost perfect this year and with these custom ones even better. Only thing I disagree after a few games is GK at 48. I feel that even at default there are many goals every game and GKs are not saving much. In general in legendary I feel attack is much easier than defense but at least shooting error is also higher and if you are not properly positioned you miss more goals.

Anyway let’s see after I start a career and play more games. Might be just getting used to it.

Am I the only one who feels like my players are stuck in mud once the AI players start to sprint? It feels like my player takes 3 or 4 strides to actually start to move with some pace while the AI goes from 0-100 instantly
