I’ve played a few games tonight with 70/70 RF on WC Slow and I’m finding that it’s decompressing the field *too* much. The AI user defenders are getting dragged backwards out of position trying to track the CPU runners, much like in this video:

So trying to play a high line is incredibly dangerous, as one CPU runner and there are massive gaps in your defence for the CPU to exploit. I have to say I much preferred the lower RF, there were fewer chances for both teams and lower xG as a result, which for me is much more realistic.

I'm playing with the suggested 15RF. But I'm still always seeing that same issue as in your video.

I play with a back three and my central CB is often just running back towards our own goal leaving huge gaps for them to exploit with one simple pass.

I can't understand how this is possible. I wish this could be what you mean. That is, being able to choose a version and install it.

No at all.
You have to erase your game, and reinstall it without internet connexion.
And then, you have the 1.000.000 version...

I don't think RF is the cause of that unfortunately.

Played a few games now with V5B4. A positive is that I’ve never seen the CPU attempt so many crosses on Legendary. The downside is it is incredibly easy to play through-balls. The CPU leave so much space for you to run onto. I’m convinced both the increased crossing and space left for off-the-ball runs is due to the high Run Frequency.

I played Leicester vs Leeds and won 5-1. Had lots of shots and it was so easy to create chances. Also played as Hull City and won 1-0 but it could’ve and should’ve been 6 or 7. I had over 25 shots and again, too easy to play through-balls.

I’ve also noticed that playing on 20/20 Sprint Speed is too easy to exploit with fast players because the Sprint Speed only affects players off-the-ball. The dribbler who has the ball is always locked at 50 Sprint Speed. So really, when you’ve got the ball with a fast winger, it’s really 50/20 Sprint Speed in your favour. It also works the other way around so the CPU are 50/20 when they have the ball but as a human player, we can pump the sprint button to keep up with them. I’m really considering going back to 50/50 or even 51/51 like in Version 1 for Sprint Speed. We had 40/51 Sprint Speed in the final set of FIFA 23 and I thought it worked really well.

Idk, those are my thoughts. It’s too easy to play through-balls on 70/70 Run Frequency but the CPU cross more. 20/20 Sprint Speed has the same issues as last year. I’m also not entirely sold on the 70/65 Line Height as Hull City and West Brom both have 50 depth but as Hull City, the ball was usually in West Brom’s half. West Brom could barely get out of their half for large parts of the match. They probably went to Attacking game plan at some point so would’ve had 60 depth but they still couldn’t pose a threat to me in my half.

Unfortunately sprint speed isn't only related to sprinting, it comes with a double-edged sword of sprint + frames. So if you raise sprint, you're adding in more chance to cut across the defenders easier and be wrong-footed easier like we saw in V1. This is why the lowest sprint speed at 5/5 was so good while it lasted because we could rely on true movements.

If it's absolutely desperately a necessity to get the game in the right spot, then maybe, but the majority of us testing have not seen it to those levels. You seem to be able to score at will, so maybe those are grounds to build a set for harder legendary. I applaud that because this was my attempt at legendary:

Hey Matt can u tell me please if u guys had any changes that were coming to Version 4 before this update turned everything upside down ?
I know u guys were working on some stuff and if u had plans to change HLW values can u share them with me ? I'm on Version 4 since I didn't update and really curious to know if anything was going to change before this update halted ur work on Version 4

No. It definitely isn't the cause.

I've tried everything to prevent it. High line. Deep line. Step up. Keep position. Aggressive intercept. Conservative intercept. Nothing stops it.

Just seems to be hard coded into the game unfortunately.

Played several games today against my better judgement. It's such a shame EA totally broke this game with the latest update.

The game was absolutely beautiful previously.

The fact we could safely play on 5 sprint was a godsend. It made the pace of the game feel so good. There was variety in AI attack too and every game felt unique.

Now I'm stuck. I find WC means I dominate the game too much. I have like 70 possession because the AI is so damn passive. And there are too many exploits that you have to purposely avoid. But in doing so, it makes you one dimensional in attack.

Yet legend is insanely OP for the AI. There is zero variety in their attack. It's just out wide, step overs. Cutback. Shot. Every single time. And the speed to ball moves when at their feet is just awful to look at. The animations are crazy.

The fact we've had to make the GKs OP and increase speed just to try to make this game playable after the update is a crime.

Yet - still there are the odd ocassion where even on legend, the game for some reason plays amazingly and feels so good. But then the next game it goes back to be crazy again. I can't work it out.

With a physical version ...
But the game accelerate sometimes as well even if i have no internet connection and, then, no connection to the servers...

The physical version requires an internet connection. Because the maximum capacity of the DVD is 5 GB... The game is approximately 44 GB.

I’m so frustrated ngl. I’ve tried a lot of little tweaks tonight but the game just isn’t fun. It’s not rewarding or challenging even on Legendary. Credit to Matt and everyone else but I think I need a break.

Nah, I'm with you.

The game was excellent before the update. But despite the best efforts of Matt and everyone on this forum, EA have just screwed the game up with the latest patch.

World Class is so passive. Legend is frustrating. The AI is one dimensional and just repeats the same attack over and over. I've played about 15 games since the last patch and haven't witnessed one single cross. It's just wide, cut back, shot. The animations have been sped up to insane levels.

hey guys, if im using precision shooting, what do you reccomend my shot error game slider should be? i want a challenging game in terms of scoring but not to the point where its exteremely difficult.
