And the most important link is this one that shows actual gameplay. A match btwn Man U and Real Madrid. The guy is playing on the Top Player Difficulty (you can see him select that mode from the previous video. Looks 100% better than the leipzig build imo. Cant wait for this game!!!!! Keepers look to have vastly improved.

Hey Goz, I saw you over at the WENB forums. It's a shame that the game was played on a 4:3 SD tv. That's the worst possible quality! Anyways, the game looks great though! Can't wait until this baby hits the US next month.

Yup, i'm on that site everyday waiting for an update. I really liked the game play, lots of pressure from the com, com offense put together a string of smart passes to get to the goal, keepers now deflect the ball smarter, and i didn't notice the ping pong effect that would happen constanly in 07 and 08 (jesus ice skating christ i hated that). Wow i can't wait. To bad Gamestop pushed back the release from oct 28 to Nov 11. I've tried and tried the fifa demo, but for some reason i feel empty by it, no emotion when i score like in PES. I guess PES is my cup of tea. This video just made my week!

Its interesting how Konami have set up the team selection process in the Champions League mode. The first category of teams only featured the 16 automatic qualifiers for the group stage, well actually all except Chelsea who i noticed were not in this category at all, which pretty much confirms they are NOT licensed (they'll probably be under the "England League" as West London or whatever). Its good to see Konami have included the debutants like Zenit and Cluj though - both licensed too - and based on that i think (hope?) we'll see all the other debutant teams like Anorthosis, Aalborg and BATE along with the likes of Steaua in the "Other Teams" section, all licensed too hopefully.

I wish the user had entered Master League mode though, i'm still mainly keen on that mode, and from the lack of things i've read about it, i can assume its exactly the same as 08. That along with a full list of teams in the game is something i'm keen on finding out.

Also i noticed when he chose Fiorentina in training (good choice BTW!) that they were under the "Italian League" so again it seems they don't have the license for the league name, but all the clubs were still licensed fortunately. I hope its the same case with the Spanish League too...

Also just realised that Bayern Munich were not in that video in the same CL team selection catagory...don't tell Konami lost another club licence

The playtest/review in this thread possibly confirms some disappointing news regarding teams/licences - LINK

• The big news is that Konami seems to have lost the entire Spanish league. They have the wrong team names and wrong kits (the video i linked to shows Real Madrid and Villarreal are both licensed as part of the CL package though)
• In England Liverpool and Manchester United should be confirmed, but the names are still wrong in this versions (now confirmed both Liverpool and Man Utd are licensed)
• Bayern Munich has been replaced for Zenit St Petersburg...
• In the Nordic countries Helsingborg have had to leave room for Brøndby (left are Hammarby, AIK, Rosenborg, Helsinki, IFK Gothenburg and Copenhagen)
• In other words, not one licence has been added without at least one other being dropped - TYPICAL KONAMI

Another CL team i just realised not present in that first video in the first is Werder Bremen, and of course a licensed Chelsea.

They initially had it releasing on 11/18/08, then moved it up to 10/28/08, now they moved it back to 11/11/08. I'm just happy to get it this year and not have to wait till next May to get it!!!

The graphics looked great on that video. The goal ripping into the back of the net looked very cool. It seems the graphics are a bit better than that of FIFA - looked more like a real futbol game than a vid game.
