Just picked up Pes 2009 so what do you recommend?

I am immediately going to start Become A Legend mode.

Any settings, roster downloads, ect that I should do first? I prefer realism and a good difficulty that will keep me challenged.

I have the Xbox 360 version.

Well, I just finished playing an exhibition game playing as United States vs Canada for the fun of it.

Played:

One level down from Top Player which I believe was "Pro".
Cursor setting: Unassisted
Played only as a CM.
10 minute halves.
Everything else on for realism.

Ended up losing 1-0 giving up a goal in the 64th minute off of a crossing header. Overall, it was a well balanced game with me (USA) having a little more ball control and 2 more shots on goal.

Still looking for some advice from those who have the game and have found some great realistic settings that I can start up Become A Legend tomorrow or later tonight.

Definitely get an option file to update transfers and proper badges.

Ok, hopefully I will figure out how to do this. I will read thru all of the threads and see if someone has already explained how to do this for the Xbox 360.

Best and cheapest way in my opinion is go have a memory card and the Datel 360 Transfer Kit. Also, hope that you're not running on Vista, as it's nearly impossible to have the drivers installed.

Finally I got it for the PS3. Now to find an option file which should not be too hard .

The option file that everyone is using for the PS3 is mrgametight's option file at pesgaming. I believe it is the only option file for NA PS3s. Its a pretty good file, he even added in bayern munich and werder bremen.

what's the best option file for the 360? My favorite team is Bayern so it would need to include them, if that's posible.

Most of us are using the D&B Elite Option File. It's pretty good. Unfortunately, Bayern is not included.
