Corners help?

Anyone have any tips for corners. I can't seem to hit a flat ball into the box.

Flat? Like on the ground? Hold down, right? When ever I hold down, it is on the ground.

I use a PS3 controller, with the buttons switched to fifa controls (O = shoot, square = cross lob, R2 is sprint)

for corners:

Square about halfway to get in the danger are, before he strikes the ball left or right on direction to give it swerve (and also can press x to make it dip)

square + up on direction pad gives it loft (can also add swerve to these)

square + down on direction pad makes a low cross (swerve limited here)

X just lays it off as a pass.
