Re: General Consensus: Speed/Difficulty/Minutes
I traded in Madden 11 when I bought PES 2011.
I didn't even finish a season on Madden and I'm on my 2nd with PES.
On Madden I tweaked the sliders and tried repeatedly to get into the game. I've been a diehard Madden player but over the last few years the game just didn't seem to improve for my tastes.
I've played FIFA in the past and played PES 2009. Didn't buy PES 2010 as the game didn't appear to be all that different from 09's. I didn't like FIFA's arcade style of play and to be honest I've kind of had it with EA. With PES, especially 2011, every game feels different.
Granted PES could fix somethings but IMO they've seemed to have improved over the past few years and I get the impression they are listening and trying to make the game better.
Bottom line, I didn't have fun with Madden and I'm having fun with PES.
PS: There are still those times were I want to throw the controller through the TV because the CPU cheats! LOL.

Re: General Consensus: Speed/Difficulty/Minutes
I have the PC version and felt the same way. So I globally edited all Attack ratings and lowered them by 75%. Got rid of the constant attack feeling and pretty much saved the game for me. I now play 25 minute halfs, and get the same stats/shots as I had playing 15 minute halfs with the default rosters.Last edited by peigone; 03-29-2011, 12:17 PM.Comment

Re: General Consensus: Speed/Difficulty/Minutes
Have been discussing this elsewhere. Part of the problem is the Form ratings have too great an effect on gameplay. I'll go to start a game, and 75% of my players have their Form arrows pointed downwards. So you just know they're going to play like crap. And if the CPU players have Form arrows pointed up, you know they're going to possibly dominate. Reminds me of the silly overkill Composure ratings in games like The Show, where your pitcher becomes useless after giving up 2 hits in a row, lol.Last edited by peigone; 03-30-2011, 04:42 AM.Comment

Re: General Consensus: Speed/Difficulty/Minutes
That's what I was saying. I would have given up on this game if it hadn't been for the ability to edit all the players on all the teams with one quick click of the mouse button. Too time-consuming otherwise.Comment
