Re: PES 2012 Info
I know it is in BAL now but they did have it as a seperate mode in one of the games. I forget which one but you could basically go through WC qualifying with any team. It was great and I wish they still had it.Comment

Re: PES 2012 Info
It's always a tradeoff. Do you want all the leagues or a deeper mode?I can't imagine them having problems with a blu-ray.
I was unaware they release a separate J-League game, but it makes sense.
Their BAL mode and ML are both better than FIFA, but they don't have what they need to back it up. It's so unfortunate. PES offers the best modes, but FIFA offers the most content. You can never have the best of both worlds, as you can't edit FIFA's career modes, and Konami foolishly places a severe constraint on the amount of content you can add to the game. I'm sure this is all just me stating common knowledge, but it's frustrating to say the least.
If I were the PES lead, my first priority for off of the pitch improvements would be adding blank leagues or extra fake leagues to the game.
On an unrelated note, I am really interested in their footballing life mode. From the name, it sounds like they might be going the way of MLB Power Pros, which would be interesting. Any news on that?
I'm very intrigued by this but so far there hasn't been any news. All the playtest impressions just revolve around gameplay. Nothing on modes yet.Comment

Does anyone know if they've added different injuries? IE while sprinting pull a hamstring, jumping for headers you knock heads, etc.
The only time injuries happen is on tackles or in training.
I also hope they clean up some of the stupid shots players take going for loose balls. IE from 40 yds away, from the side at impossible angles, etc. This is in BAL.'Some people believe football is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that.'-Bill ShanklyComment

One of the pes sites (cant remember which one) mentioned that editing hasn't changed much except for like an extra layer on kit editing. Also the number of emblem slots is 51 I believe, which if true is very disappointing.Comment

Re: PES 2012 Info
I haven't heard anything about injuries but I did see a new animation last night after 200+hrs of PES. Theo Walcott got injured (very realistic btw) and was limping off holding his hammy. It happened after a tackle but he returned and couldn't continue.Does anyone know if they've added different injuries? IE while sprinting pull a hamstring, jumping for headers you knock heads, etc.

To me, BAL is the true measure of how much the AI has been improved. Nothing like seeing 21 (minus your keeper and hitting the pressure buttons) players controlled by the CPU.Comment

I agree! Now that FIFA is not doing so bad, PES will do its best to maintain its image among gamers.Comment

To me, that all looked like Master League stuff.
Really excited for gamescom to learn more about their career modes.Comment
