i realize its ten months later but this is correct - PES 2017 on PS4 is one of the better console soccer sims. on superstar and -2 speed its very competitive, the players are not on rails, and the computer passing % varies depending on game and opponent.
i'm sharing what i've found - i've ended up doing quite a bit of mix and matching (and failing) to make a database i like. i didn't follow the exact instructions on all of them but if you have a basic understanding of how the option files all work then this should be a good start.
notes: be careful about how you upload the jersey files on the updated ones - the pes updated 2019-20 is the most recent. i would also recommend using the clubs from the 'classic clubs by various editors' file combined with the classic national teams from the other file.

sorry im a little late to the party re: PES 2021 for PS4/PS5 and the option files. I had it on my xbox so no option file available, but i just bought it for the PS4 and installed it on my PS5. All i wanted to ask is if there is a recommend best overall complete 2022/2023 option file that i should download for the game. I don't know if there are free ones but i see a bunch for sale on ebay but have no idea what would be good for my PS5. thanks in advance.

are there any PC option files that focus on MLS? I'm brand new and just downloaded the Fanurex package and its glorious. Best soccer game I've ever played. Im looking to add MLS and specifically San Diego FC to the game but can't find anything. I also cant really find any MLS files that include all the teams even without SD, looks like most only have 26.Comment

You won't be able to have the full league in the game as the leagues max out at 20 teams.
