    Player editing thread

For all rating changes and player index changes we can use this thread, even equipment as well.

To start off. Messi's and Ronaldo's top speed seems low to me at 83 and 90.

Here's top speeds of other players.

    Anelka 84
    Ronaldo 90
    Robben 92
    Rooney 83
    Van Persie 82
    Walcott 97

Ronald should be at 95 and Messi at 93.

What other player ratings look like they need to be changed or player indexes?

Ha-ha! They compensate for getting rid of the speed catch-up logic from last year by neutering players like Messi. Yup, crank those ratings up into the high 90s.

Many player's height and weight are wrong, I know this is kind of subjective, but I can assure these are more accurate and many times the player's real height (many times listed wrong even on official Website).

Here are some with corrected positions included:

      van Persie: 187-188cm > CF/SS/BWG/BSMF/(AMF)
      Vermaelen: 182cm
      Terry: 188cm
      Iniesta: 172cm AMF/CMF/BSMF/(SS)
      Lahm: 172 cm
      Ribery: 173cm BSMF/BWG/AMF/
      Malouda:177cm LSMF/LWG/AMF/CMF
      Rooney: 176-177cm SS/CF/AMF/(BSMF)
      Defoe: 172cm
      Lennon:168cm
      Carrick: 189cm /83 kg DMF/CMF
      Berbatov: 190cm

      Lampard: 78-80 kg CMF/AMF
Only respectable people deserve respect, you destroyed the game.

Van persie is 183-184cm he isn't taller than Chamakh or as tall as Henry.

Also Sturridge on Chelsea height is wrong to he is at lest 182-183 cm, they have him listed as 188cm which is false Terry is taller than him.

Also Marc Albrighton on Aston Villa height is waaay wrong they have him has a really tall winger when he should be 175cm 66kg. Also Crouch's should 75kg not 84kg.

There are more players with false height and weight that I edited but I can't check because I don't have the game in front of me at the moment. Some of these edits are important because they are the deciding factor on how fluid players move and how strong they are on the ball.

Don't believe weight affects strength on the ball. Rather, it's the Body Balance rating that does that. One of the truly genious programming aspects about the game is the degree with which editing that rating affects a player's ability to keep his feet in traffic.

You have a point about those other players too. Van Persie on the other hand is taller than 185cm:

Practically the same height as Pires who is 187cm/188cm

Taller than Gilberto who is 184cm/185cm

That is right. Weight and body balance go hand by hand. It affects players on offense like you described and also on defense, matching up with other players, collisions.

                    Re: Player editing thread

Been searching around for players height and I agree that van Persie is at least 1.88m judging from some photos it is really difficult to tell who is exactly taller by certain angles, in my game I didn't realize I had him set to 1.85m. Many sources have him placed a 1.83m, however I found that Skyports.com may have the most accurate height sources, they have Sturridge for Chelsea at 1.83, van Perse, Chamakh, and Koscielny at 1.88m and also they have Vermaelen at 1.84m. I don't know how accurate they as height and weight is all over the place for players when it comes to sources. Here is link:

                      Re: Player editing thread

It's very tricky. Sometimes heights are listed wrong even on official Websites, but I agree that some are more reliable than others. I base player's height on my experience and what I have seen from them through the years.

I remember Forlán back in his Manchester United days being listed at 1.74m when he was clearly much taller than that (1.79m-1.80m). This was amended only when he was transferred to Villareal.

The same happened with Verón, throughout all his prime he was listed at 1.86m and it was only when he came back to play in Argentina where he was measured at his real life height at 1.82m
