    Manage Mode Questions

So I rented FIFA 12 last week and played it for about 3 nights. I havent had a soccer game in about 10 years, so i was pretty excited about it. I actually had a lot of fun with the game. The physics and the fact that not every ball is kicked the same every time was nice. Last time i played a soccer game if the ball came within the vicinity of a player, it was like there was a magnet on thier foot to pick up the ball. Anyway, this was fun and i liked the season mode. For me it was new having to hire a scout, send guys out on loan, etc. Very enjoyable and i am guessing more in-depth, but i only had a couple days with it, so just got a taste of it.

Now i've played PES, and really like that too. Seems more methodical style of play. My question is how does "career" mode or whatever its called compared to FIFA? Is it the same in-depth with options?

I wasnt really going to consider PES until i just found out that you can change these option files on the 360. I thought this was only an option for PC users. Actaully am excited to be able to modify/customize the game like that on a console. Thanks for any feedback/help.

We don't know what PES 13 will have to offer but if it's like 12 then you'll be disappointed as FIFA is a lot deeper in this regard. The improvements for 13 look very nice.

As far as differences, there is no transfer deadline day. Scouting is no where near as advanced. The balance of upset players in FIFA is a lot better as in PES complaints would happen weekly. One week you would have a player complaining he's too tired. You rest him and the next he would complain why he didn't break the starting 11. International games are scheduled two days before league games which takes a huge toll on fatigue. Overall I was disappointed with PES last year and FIFA MM mode was much more defined.

Now as far as career mode, I like what PES has compared to FIFA.

I never played Manager Mode because I have Football Manager for that but, Master League and Be A Legend mode are pretty good. It is not as sleek as FIFA's but the depth is pretty nice.

Oh yeah, FM is a on a whole different level compared to both. ML just had too many annoyances for me last year.

Just curious is there a world cup like tournament you can play in on PES or is it strictly league games. What I'm wondering is what does Master League offer I haven't played it since the original XBOX so if you could give me some of the key features those who have played it. I like the gameplay I just can't seem to find anything on Master league Thanks.

There are world cup like tournaments as a matter of fact there are all types of the international tournaments available in PES (Euros, African Cup, Copa and etc). The Master League is alright definitely not my favorite mode, (Be a Legend is my fav) you will have international call ups and Europa and Champions leagues all included in Master League.

Check this review for last years version of Master League, tell me what you think after reading it.

Very interesting looks like it is a pretty deep mode that can have you playing for hours. Thanks for this it gives me a lot better of an idea on Master league.
