It's all about gameplay for me. I am not surprised by what they are doing though - but it is all abut how the actual game plays on the field. FIFA 12 had a great off field activity and features - but the game play required SO MUCH help...it's unplayable for me.

are you kidding? PES gameplay is WOEFUL in comparison to FIFA, but it has the better career mode as FIFA manager mode gets stale, but the gameplay is immense.

this new master league however sounds like a complete joke. trying to turn it into an rpg jeez

no he is not kidding.. the PES Demo1 and Demo2 both have better gameplay than my FIFA 12. I agree with him

I will wait to play FIFA 13 demo to make a final decision before I say PES gameplay is better than FIFA 2013 though.

and to be honest.. anyone who says PES's gameplay is "WOEFUL" in caparison to FIFA sounds like a either someone that is biased or didn't even play the game enough to give it a chance

I will wait to play FIFA 13 demo to make a final decision before I say PES gameplay is better than FIFA 2013 though.

I have to agree. I prefered Fifa the last few years because PES really was not very good but this year based on the demos Fifa has to improve for me to consider both even with the changes to ML.

Thanks Stevee and Ezio - sorry Willy, not the right venue to be harping on FIFA's gameplay, believe me - I have tried sliders, configs (PC) and gameplay patches - FIFA 12 (and before) gameplay just doesn't even come close to PES. I am hoping FIFA 13 gives PES 13 a fight though - but there are certain things that I need from FIFA to make it playable - and a good manager mode is not one of them. PES could turn into Mario Party for all I care - just as long as the on field gameplay is intact.

Well the thing is I might have agree with the past couple of PES games but they finally got it right in PES 13 IMO. I played a game last night boca (who I love playing with btw) vs. Corinithias and it was a fun game that finished 1-1. I then played the same game in Fifa 12 and shut it off after 5 minutes

The off the ball movement in Fifa by your CPU players pales in comparison to PES. Not to mention the lack of fouls in Fifa 12 and the lack of any midfield play.

I am still going to check out the Fifa 13 demo and early release to see what it is ike but it will have to really be impressive for me to get both games again this year.

Also, as far as the ML changes, I realized last night while playing I don't really pay that much attention to the boots players are wearing so if the stats boosts you get are similar to what you got in BAL when using different boots, which was minimal IMO that it really isn't a big deal other than it not being aestheticly pleasing.

This is an example of using the shoes for Kagawa. 2 stats jumped a bit but the others did not jump much. I think I can live with it

The generic ones are a bit ugly but again during the game I don't really pay that much attention to them.

I don't the mind the stat-boosting as much as I mind the visual of Messi not wearing his F-50 boots or CR7 not wearing his Nike's.

I really enjoyed seeing guys wearing all of the different boots.

Doesn't seem like a good idea to me. I think people want their game to be realistic and not have to assign boots to players so they don't look silly!

And in all my years of watching EPL, not once have I been aware of what type boot a player is wearing. Since when did football become the NBA?

I don't think has become the NBA but I am not sure how it would compare but....there is a site dedicated for footy fans who are really into boots. soccerbible.com

I don't think you have to use them but then your stuck with everyone wearing generic boots. However, I believe the CPU can also equip the boots which is a concern for people as well. Honestly, it works similar to the way it was in BAL which is what I expected so I can live with it.

To me it's about the boosting... still sucks Messi won't be wearing his F50's like mentioned but boosting is the bigger deal for me. ML had a lot of questions last year as at times the game played much different than out of ML mode. Now tack this on and I begin to wonder what we're in store for. I mean, do you really want to play against West Ham and see their virtual manager pump these different boosts into Carroll and have him move like Ronaldo out there?
