Re: Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 Ships with Roughly 20 Stadiums, No Stadium Editor or Ra
In EA's defense the whole concept of edit mode is a huge infringement on the licenses they legally purchased. If I were EA I'd be livid if the competitor gives users the option of editing the game to include clubs/leagues that I purchased. It defeats the whole purpose of having licenses. And yes, it does work both ways with Konami locking EA out of the Champions Leauge. What makes me upset is that EA has the licenses for these Stadiums now and don't even use them. On Next-Gen every major league should have all of their stadiums.
EA is going to eventually force Konami out of the European market as they just cannot compete with those deep pockets. I don't know if the Asian/South American markets can sustain series.Comment

I really don't care if my players are playing Mars. If the gameplay is good, then it will be fun to play!NHL REVAMPED ROSTERS - CO-CREATORComment

I hope that PES will make at least one appearance on the next gen consoles. I am so worried right now about their future.
If nothing happens I will hang on to PES 2014 and play it until I die.Last edited by LingeringRegime; 09-02-2013, 02:11 PM.Comment

I cant belive EA is going to kill another great sport franchise (NFL 2K) being the first. Personally dont care about licensed teams as long as we can recreate them with a nice set of tools. But most of the people cares.
I think this is wrong, someone should stop this licensing bull****. I know that EA also got hurt with this strategy once, with the MVP Baseball franchise. This only affects us, the consumers... As long as theres no competition well be getting the same game over and over.Comment

I kid. I kid.
Seriously, what I heard was that they were focusing this year on getting the gameplay right. I can only assume they will be working on it next year. I admit I was pretty startled at the news as well.Comment

They only had 1 year with this engine and are still making tweaks as is. They didn't have time to add in rain and the effects it would have on the gameplay. It sucks , but honestly I never play in the rain so for me it doesn't matter but I can understand why it would bother some. Imo, its more a you don't care until you lose it for some people lolComment

Think of this year as a nice engine demo and that already looks better than that other game.Comment

Re: Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 Ships with Roughly 20 Stadiums, No Stadium Editor or Ra
The stadium thing is not a big deal to me as I hate the Spanish league and don't particularly care about authentic stadiums anyway. If they ever take out the real edit mode, that would be a problem although since I play PES on PC, I'm sure someone would figure out how to edit the real names and teams eventually.Comment
