    PES 2014 Version 1.0 vs 1.01

After playing xbox 360 version 1.01, I GREATLY prefer version 1.00. The problem is that the only way I am able to play version 1.00 is without a hard drive.

Is there anyway to remove the update?

Also what are your thoughts on 1.00 vs 1.01?

At this point, the demo actually feels much better than 1.01.

Help would be greatly appreciated, otherwise it looks like PES 2014 will get returned as I bought the game assuming it would play similarly to the demo!

I'm on ps3. I have uninstalled the new version 1.01 right way because I didn't like the noticeable changes in game play specially in regard to the game speed. I just think the original 1.0 is brilliant one you learn to adapt to the response.

Agreed. How does someone uninstall the update on XBOX 360 though. I have tried everything and simply haven't been able to figure it out.

I'd love some help here because version 1.0 is SO good.

Have you guys tried to research online. I'm sure there is a way to uninstall the update on xbox from the game data folder like on ps3.

My only problem is that down the road I probably wont be able to install any option files without updating the patch.

You need to delete the cache data in order to delete game patches... doing so you will erase all the other patches on other games

Are you suggesting that I can install PES 2014 option files on PS3 in future without needing to update the game with new patchs/datapacks etc.??

Most likely not, since most option file makers always update their game with the latest patches/DLC.

So I guess version 1.02 is going to take into account all the feedback from this week, but won't be out until November!

Anyways played a lot of 1.00 this week after beginning on 1.01 and man, this game has SO much going for it. There are bugs and errors, but the CPU AI is fantastic at times on 1.00 (Superstar).

Also, on version 1.01 many mention how Superstar and Top player have overpowering CPU AI and stupid player AI. This is how I felt as well. Many have said to play on Professional as this makes the CPU AI much better as they vary attacking styles while boosting the player AI. Has anyone tried this?

I always play on professional and the game is very balanced for me. I also play manual controls. When I updated to 1.01 I was playing on professional too but the experience was nothing compared to the original.

I don't if it is me or many would share the same opinion about how the game is different after the update!!

Seriously this game on 1.00 Superstar is amazing. Playing on 1.00 the last few days has been such a joy compared to when I started after the update. This really should be brought to people's attention because perhaps many are missing out.

There are issues, but if Konami could just discard the 1.01 version and just fix minor things on 1.00, this game has incredible potential.

The variety of the play is just awesome. The CPU will actually possess for long spells whenever they are a possession oriented team that is superior to mine. Likewise weaker teams will sit back and are much easier to play out of the back against (long ball setting for CPU), but are very difficult to break down and can cause problems on the break. The counters are far more realistic where the CPU actually misses passes when playing quickly.

Version 1.01 always feels like the same game on Superstar. The CPU is so overpowering and offensively oriented while my player leave huge gaps which make the CPU counters feel cheap. Also the backline issue where my CPU controlled player will follow their man deep into my box is far far less pronounced on 1.00. This can be easily dealt with by just tapping the d-pad back to realign the backline when the CPU has the ball. Having the tactical offside setting set to on works well too.

It isn't often I'll see a CPU player just breaking into by end without being dealt with.

Too bad playing on 1.00 will mean doing all the roster work myself, but it is WELL worth it!

I brought this issue up on other forums but no one or , maybe very few, seem to bother. It seems like it's only the two of us who appreciate the brilliance of version 1.0 anyway,I a have my mind set. I going to stick to v.1 and I will do the editing work myself. Let's see what version 1.02 will bring...

Haha I saw that someone copied and pasted this into evo-web.

This game on 1.0 is INCREDIBLE on Superstar. With the right tactics, teams play very very realistically. My hope is that this is brought to Konami's attention because it would be a real shame if those playing on 1.0 don't get data pack updates.

This is the best experience I've had playing any soccer game. What on earth happen with 1.01? Just drop that version of the game and work from 1.00, update the rosters, ratings, faces, and team tactics and this game is basically done.

I'm loving the retail game so far but is manual shooting broken or something? I'm having lots of trouble scoring headers and taking first time shots from crosses/corners. Strikers will always try to control the ball first and sometimes they won't even jump. I also noticed controlled/finesse shots go over the bar all the time. Have you guys noticed these problems as well? I'm using an Xbox360 by the way.
