Are passes supposed to be so lofty?

Getting sick of FIFA's game-rigging ways, and looking for a change. Been playing some PES 2014 and am liking many things better than FIFA, some not. One thing I dont understand is if I charge a regular ground pass, they all seem to leave the ground by some margin and become beachball-ish. Is there a way to fix this, or is this how it always is? I watched some youtube videos and I didnt see the same thing replicated in the videos. I am definitely not hitting the lob pass button.

Another thing - the crowd and graphics in general look kind of washed out and poor. I can get accept it if thats the way it is but watching videos the crowd even looks better. I have my settings on 1080 and High. Didnt see any other settings anywhere.

    Thanks in advance

Re: Are passes supposed to be so lofty?

I guess I will try my best to answer until maybe a better answer comes along... I buy each series every year and I find that if I jump from FIFA to pro Evo it can take some getting used to for the controls. Even if I have the face buttons amped the same so my lob passes, thru passes and shots are the same, sometimes the shoulder buttons throw me off. Remember that Pro Evo has a lot of modifiers depending on what your pressing, this could be the issue. However none of my normal passes seem lofty.

As for the graphics I think Pro Evo started stronger but lag was a big issue. I have noticed that they "dumbed down" the graphics in certain areas to help with frame rates. That might be why you notice something different in video vs. what you are playing.

That was my beat try at answering.
