How do u beat the CPU 1 v 1 when dribbling?

    I can't get past anyone.

Maybe it's because I need training time but I can't dribble past even a poor defender.

Any advice would be appreciated. I'm on the PS4

    Thanks

Well I know for me I have realized that holding turbo all the time just leads to getting tackled lol.and I saw on the loading screen 1 tip that's really helped me.if you press sprint real fast 2 times and hold it you get a quick burst of speed to blow by a defender and it really is useful. I'm still learning myself so I don't have anything else.but I hope that's helpful!

Lower the difficulty if it feels impossible to get past defenders. Just use those easiest feints like pressing right stick up and left stick down or something like that and if CPU misses tackle then run like a wind . At least in this game it's possible to divert CPU once in a while not like in fifa when CPU always knows when to hit in harder difficulties.

Ball roll is only move I miss from that bull**** fifa game.

I've just posted in the impressions thread that game speed at -2 helps with dribbling too.

If you have auto feint on, double tapping the sprint button also makes a good move, passes the ball one side and runs through the other. When it works its quite beautifull to watch. This double tap thing is very usefull, once timed correctly and against the direction CPU player is running. It will leave him behind for sure...

Flick the right stick up or down depending on the direction you want to go. Works pretty well against weaker defenders.

Great topic. This is perhaps the most frustrating aspect of PES (and FIFA for that matter) for me that I've have had always had trouble with.

I find dribbling this year to be great in PES. If you combine the close control with a speed burst you can leave defenders in the dust. You can also wrong foot them and use their momentum against them. I will say this, the closer angle you play, the easier dribbling is.

RT/R2 and side step right or left on the LAS and then speed burst away with RB / R1 is the easy way to get around a defender... once you get the pace of dribbling down switching from speed burst and special controls dribble or vice versa... it works great. I dunno why but dribbling comes naturally to me in this game.

btw... I dunno if it might help others or not that play xbox one but I believe the best control set is to change RT to speed burst and put Manual pass to RB and LT for special controls ... I like using both triggers for this in dribbling as this is how I play in FIFA too

This is my goto tactic and also my only tactic since I don't understand the skill moves.

I did this change too, but after a while I realised that in my case, I can get more response from the player with the original controls. For sure its a matter of preference but I can´t press the trigger as fast as the bumper. It plays good on Fifa though.

I use exactly same buttons but maybe speed burst double tap would be easier to do with R1/RB button.

well I think it's more of an xbox thing for myself. I am use to playing PES on playstation and this is my first time ever on xbox one. to me the RB button on xbox one I just don't like for some reason for speed burst. It feels a lot more natural to me on the RT.
on playstation PES I always played default controls with the PS3 and PS2 controllers.

Yeah I was also very used to RT. I did change the controls but after a while I felt like it wasn´t as responsive as the RB. Its just a preference but to make my stoped player do a burst and try to surprise the defender, I find the RB quicker, its only a touch while RT I have to press it all the way down, wich takes a bit more of time.
