I’d love if you share your experience with me. Do you feel the ball is a bit heavy? I have the feeling the ball just before the line gets really slow so you can catch it and avoid a corner or something similar.
I still prefer Pes gameplay, I always said that, the (almost) perfect game would be a pes gameplay with the fifa licenses.
Great job Konami but I still hope they can fix the Pass accuracy.

The only "solution" is this: Ignore the cpu pass accuracy stats. I play on Superstar difficulty and I have more than enough pass interceptions (around 20 in 15min) and I see many cpu passes not hitting their target. I'm afraid that if KONAMI decides to mess with this one will destroy again the almost perfect cpu build up play.
That said, I'd prefer superhuman goalkeeping over this problem.

Seems to me it is due to the passing they do with the back-line and if you guard it a certain way they may do it for long periods of time and inflate that #.

I really don't see the issue when the team decides to go forward as my centerbacks and DMF often intercept long passes.

this bugged me a bit at first too but then I just let it go because I was like its a computer game and it cannot accurately represent the stats of a full soccer game. but what they do is recreate the most amazing feel of soccer but in a video game. it is not perfect but man it is damn good. haha. i am just reiterating what fearwhatnow said haha.

I started a Libertadores on the ps4 version now and in my first game, vs Bolivar, they ended with 69% accuracy on Professional.

That could just be an anomaly, because I do generally agree that the pass % stat is too high. Keyword here is stat, because during the game I really don't notice it and the possession numbers are never skewed one way or another in a unrealistic way. ty5oke makes a good point as well

Were you playing against a counter attacking team, they will usually have a lower passing accuracy.

It was vs Bolivar. I don't remember what their gameplan is set to. I do remember they were aggressive the entire game and even outshot me.

What I do against those teams is try to put my forward(s) between the CPU defenders, that way I opne up space in midfield and the CPU feels pressed on defence, so they start going forward and try attacks more often, wich most of the time leads to a ball loss. This game really forces you to use diferent tactics through matches. Those teams keeping possession are really asking for a high defence and high pressing team. Of course that if its not done properly, we are the ones getting screwed.
Still messing around with tactics, but I´ll try this approach next time I play against a possession team.

But I do agree that CPU does pass the ball around with a bit of exagerated performance, but its easily ignored once you get used to it.

I also agree with ty5oke. The Cpu does a great job of keeping possession in their half but will make errant passes once they really start to go forward. I might mess with ratings to see if it makes a positive difference but I won't trade the overall feel of the game for more accurate passing stats.

Fatigue might be a bigger issue but I was thinking about it while playing last night, it might not need as much tweaking as I first thought. Most players aren't very fresh towards the end of 90 min IRL.

I think we're just not used to seeing totally depleted stamina bars. I mean, think about it if most players ended a match with half stamina, in theory they'd be good to go for a whole extra 90 minutes. THAT would be unrealistic.

We might just need some tweaks to stamina recovery in between matches. I haven't started my Master League yet though so I can only base that off of other peoples feedback.

Yeah Stamina is or can be a issue. I've been a Fifa guy until this year and I must say PES is brutally realistic.
example,
My master league squad is mostly made up of USA players. When they go to a international game and come back, they are still tired. I'm talking half of their Stamina bar. I unfortunately had a game next day so 75 % of my players started the game with half of the stamina bar.( I dont recall FIFA doing this). I chalked it up as " oh well, this is real life $h!t" yes people will be tired after a international friendly" I still won the game since I play on regular level(still new to pes) but on a 90th min goal (2-1) I basically used all my subs beginning of 2nd half. I half expected to draw /lose the game but really was a lucky shot by J Jones ( very similar to what he did in World cup). a line drive corner pocket top shelf. This was a great game/experience. I almost felt like I cheated but really didnt. I made the subs, so in whole I like it because it made me adjust to the situation and it paid off. it's these types of moments/thinking that I really like about PES

Between this and the lack of fouls by the CPU, I just can't get into this game at all. It's been very disappointing.

Mediocre teams pass it around like they were Barcelona, and the game doesn't seem to reward pressure on the ball like it has done in the past. In previous games you were rewarded for strategically pressuring the ball, and you could force the CPU into a bad pass, but that doesn't seem to happen in this year's version.

Holding out hope though, that maybe a patch can get this game going.

These were my thoughts initially. After lots, and lots of matches, I´ve come to understand the mechanics a little better, and now things don´t seem so out of balance as before. Pressing only works with a very good team against a weaker team. Otherwise it would be very easy. Defending is harder, and for me that´s a good thing.

About CPU passing yes, its a bit OP, bit after playing Master League and other competitive matches, I´ve seen a fair amount of CPU mistakes.

Lack of fouls is still an issue. You can actually get them with the proper timing, but its quite hard and most times referee doesn´t feel fair. Fouls are in the game, and referee does see them all, but only for CPU. When its about us, referee´s suddenly get blind.

You need to edit tactics. A lot of teams are set to possession - short pass with few for the amount of players in the attack. Ex) you want to stoke to play hoof football set it to possession - long passes.

Also, for those teams with possession shot pass you might want to make the players in attack setting "/medium-many" as this will help prevent the constant back passes

Does anybody know if teams use the custom tactic setting? I have been trying to see if teams switch to this.
