Hey guys, I'm gonna post my question in here because I can't create a own thread yet.

So after over 10 years of fifa, I wanted to play pes this year, because it got hyped like **** this year. However, I don't understand the hype at all.

Especially the AI is ******* frustrating, and I thought it couldn't be worse than in fifa. The AI just keeps passing in their own half for about 20 ingame minutes. I ended up playing with Barcelona against Cordoba, with 70 % possession for cordoba. I mean come on, you can't be serious. They weren't even dangerous, they just kept passing and stayed in possession, and I couldn't do NOTHING while defending (occurs in co-trainer mode as well btw).

I really try to learn this game and enjoy it, but until now I can't, and like I said before I don't get why this game should be better than fifa this year.

Am I doing something wrong? Or what is going on? because it's not fun to play like this.

that's is not ocurring to me. in fact i'm playing with barça too, and when i've played against cordoba it was me who's got the possession of 73%. te difference it could be tactical. you have to pressure up the cordoba defenders when they have the ball (with the square button in ps4/ps3 or x in xbox). you have to change your game strategy too. i mean move up your defense line up (but be careful with counter-attacks), and set the pressure to agressive, defensive line all way up, number in defence low (this allows you to pressure the opponent's defence with your attack players) and so. I'm actually playing on top player and it occurs as well. Why should I go manual passing, when it's difficult enough already like this?

It won't change. It has been discussed quite a bit since PES was released this year. The possession play, among other things, is just brutal. We could go in to it, but it's May 2015 and I think it's all been said before in one thread or another.

Konami have done little to change any gameplay problems, outside of their version of FUT, so you should not expect any adjustments by them. Things can be done to edit team tactics and individual player Cpu play styles, but it seems like a hell of a lot to do to make the game play as it should have... If we had the ability to share edits/files then this wouldn't be such an issue.

I remember really liking PES when it first came out, and thinking that it was quite a bit better than fifa. But now 6 months later, and with a lot more game time experience, I would have to say that fifa is still very much in the lead. Fifa has a ton of problems, and I won't defend it, but there are just as many issues in PES. The problem with these two games though, is depending where you go to talk about it, people may not admit to there being issues out of some desire for one game to be seen better than the other.

I know it's frustrating. It's occurring because Córdobas team tactics are completely wrong. We shouldn't have to change such things. Konami is just lazy and doesn't research well when it comes to team tactics and player abilities.

You want a game where you can play some D and is balanced better and more realistic concerning offense vs defense.
