Re: any helpful tips for a PES beginner?

OP, please excuse me for hijacking your post, but I didn't want to make another 'n00b' thread.

Is anyone able to provide some info on the Managers mode?
I'm completely lost when it comes to everything related to soccer. I have no idea what this transfer window thing is, how players are developed (are there minor league systems?), scouting, recruiting, developing, etc.

The Managers mode in PES sounds very deep so I'm looking to get an understanding prior to purchasing PES16.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks guys!

One thing I would add - In this game, shot height is not tied to the power bar as it is in FIFA (at least with non-manual shooting.) You shoot low by aiming the LS away from the goal.

just google it. basically you pay X amount to the club to sign the player, and ALSO you pay Y to the player to sign wtih you. Both have to be happy with the number.

when you sell, you only worry about X.

scouting is automatic, you'll see who's already decent (and those i usually take over hoping some weak rated guy will boost up)

this new 2016 system will be different in some parts, i cant wait to see what they've come up with

Does PES have online co-op seasons like FIFA?

If not, are there any co-op online options available?

Soccer has become our zone out game (play online with brother).

            To the OP

I know this was mentioned somewhat but the more you watch soccer IRL and attempt to mirror how the game is played in real life, in the video game the more you are rewarded.

This game, unlike a lot really rewards for quality play, yes there are some "videogamey" things that happen but on it's higher difficulties playing "sim" yields some great results.

You also have to be content with taking a 0-0 tie sometimes depending who you are matched up against. SOMETIMES the name of the game is possession and i feel like this game does a great job at making you pay on the counter when you keep pushing forward without the weapons to do so.

At the end of the day this game is so great because it rewards sim and we don't have to come on here and mess with sliders or change player ratings to achieve the result we are all looking for.

Thats why it was my GOTY last year/this year and I'm completely looking forward to PES2016
