In PES, is it possible to create a realistic World Cup? I mean, can you choose the stadiums? Can you choose for the crowd to be neutral or divided in halfs instead of having a home and an away team? Thanks!

Did you guys play football or watch enough football on TV? If you did you would have another opinion...
btw I saw some Fifa 16 beta footage on youtube today until EA banned the videos. The gameplay and goals looked very nice and much more realistic than PES. And I saw FOULS!!! I'm really looking forward to the demo...
I do play football twice a week and have done so for many years, so not sure where you're heading with that assumption... If you like Fifa, good for you. I also like it for certain aspects and actually preferred FIFA last year to PES. I just think Konami have really improved PES this year base don the demo.
To each their own I suppose...Comment

Re: PES 2016 Demo Available Now on Xbox One and PlayStation 4
Before Fox engine, I would lower the short pass accuracy by 30. Instantly the balls would be played into space and the effects of pressure mimick what we see IRL, which in turn will create the pass accuracy numbers we're looking for.
Edit: forgot to say, the problem with that reduction in pass accuracy was that the passes were so far off, it was tough for the CPU to formulate an attack. Regardless, I'd love to see what PES 16 would look like with that modification.
In PES 2016 I do find they pass into space if they are playing the ball down the wings but in the middle they almost never do (this is true to real life but maybe not to the extreme of PES). Just watching Man U today and all of thier passes in the middle are almost directly to the player receiving it.
Anyway just some more thoughts as I patiently await these games to come out!!Twitter - mendy_9

They add new faces, that's it. They won't change the fouls because they didn't last year and I honestly think it's way too late for that. The few fouls feed the casuals and that might be the the concept behind PES. Missing fouls are a deal breaker for sure. Imagine Basketball without free throws OMG! Just my 2 cents.
Definitely not perfect but i think much better than without the changes. Also the first half is normal speed and second is -1.

After you've started up the match pause game and go to settings and I think it's game settings. Imo -1 is a lot better than default speedComment

So I downloaded loaded the JP demo and played a few matches and it seems slightly different not sure if I am seeing things. Actually had a match with 5 fouls called, two against me and 3 against the CPU, I think it might have been a fluke especially since 1 of the fouls should have been at least a yellow card.Comment

Re: PES 2016 Demo Available Now on Xbox One and PlayStation 4
I've played the Fifa 16 pro clubs beta and the gameplay really doesn't feel that different from Fifa 15 imo. Still pretty pacey and fast paced gameplay that Fifa is known for.
I then tried the new pes 2016 demo and there's no comparison to Fifa. So much smoother and slower gameplay, which is what I love. It just felt so good and was a lot of fun to play, even with the fouls problem.
I'll be buying pes this year for sure.Comment

I've enjoyed the demo so far. Playing as France against Brazil on SS for all my games. I've seen a bunch of organic goals and the pace/feel of the game has been good. The sliding of defenders is still a sore spot for me.
Not many fouls in my game like others. Seems like you still can't injure guys inside a game? I've been able to see a good amount be sent off after my sinister slide tackle but they always come back.Seattle Pilots GM (2011 - ) Record: 152 - 195

Re: PES 2016 Demo Available Now on Xbox One and PlayStation 4
If people are having too much ease passing ball turn everything to manual. Makes everything more challenging. My current set up is (Superstar, -1 Speed, Manual Shooting, Unassisted Passing)
My only other complaint with the game other than the lack of fouls is the button press power bar. Last year a light touch of the pass button when give you a light touch in space. This year it seems you have to press the button harder for a light touch on the ball. It doesn't feel as intuitive to me.Comment

Not sure if you can play with the powerbar off but manual shooting is probably the closet you can get.Comment

Re: PES 2016 Demo Available Now on Xbox One and PlayStation 4
I've played a few games and it is ok. The fluid formations do help get back on defense unless it is a quick turnover. I had 1 goal scored on a quick turnover and a through ball (I swear he was offside though).
The fouls are killing me though. I've had defenders slide far away and not picking up any fouls. Around the box is hard to play the ball because nothing is called. I think I've been called for 1 foul and I mugged the guy. It seems to me that if you aren't sliding, the fouls aren't called at all.Comment

Re: PES 2016 Demo Available Now on Xbox One and PlayStation 4
I think there are a couple of problems with fouls in this game;
1 - The game itself has a lenient ref, now whether that is because the ref in the demo is coded that way idk - but in old PES games you would have nicer refs and stricter refs to put it simply.
2 - Playstyle, now im not saying that you will get 3/4+ fouls per game, but you can draw fouls in PES... The key word there being 'draw'.
Now ive seen various fouls in the game committed by the AI, slide tackles, shoves, aerial fouls, late clips etc. The reason I think im seeing them and others who see them are because of playstyle, this isnt a negative and isnt a statement that the game is working 100% as I do think its too lenient, however if you are going to play ping pong, or try to dribble into dead ends etc, fouls wont get called as much.
Try being more patient, not pinging a ball first time, but get it under and have a look up, play a diagonal, feed the channel, overlap, come short etc... the more you have possession (as IRL) at your feet, the more chance a challenge is going to come in and if you get your body right, fouls will get called.
Case in point my last game, 2 fouls, totally different scenarios. First one, edge of their box right hand side, i roll the ball into Moratas feet, he has Dante on his back, I could easily dump it first time back to Lichsteiner who is covered but would get the ball, however I take a quick turn to get to the byline and would you believe it... Dante dangles a foot and over I go..foul.
2nd, im in my own half.. Pirlo looking to sew a needle, I go short to Vidal into his feet and as he gets it, a quick bump into his back from Lahm and Vidal goes down.. foul.
Its not perfect and I know everyone plays the game differently, but its there, yes a tweak will help it, but we dont want the flow from the game to die, that will kill it as remember we are taking a 90 minute game and condensing it into 10 or 15 mins.... Madden, NHL, MLB etc get more realistic stats as people play games with more realistic times.
Imagine doing 2 minute quarters on Madden, would you want realistic foul numbers on that? Probably not, as you would be sat there watching yellow flags drop near on all game, which would ruin it.
Football games cant work under 90 minute realistic time frames, they never have and probably never will (nor will that be wanted in the majority). So we have to condense the action you get in a 90min game and try to bring that over realistically as possible to 10mins....
The Premier League which many will use as a benchmark has what circa 22 fouls per game across 90 mins. Imagine the game stopping 22 times when playing PES or FIFA for fouls, would that be fun? Would you then get the right number of 'scoring' situations from that... say you have 11 fouls on the edge of the box, 11 goalscoring free kick chances?
It has to be dialled back a touch, maybe its a bit too far right now, but 2/3 fouls per side would be a decent indication for me that the refs are on point.
Penalties... 83 last year in the Premier League, that includes handballs which we dont have in computer games right now (as far as im aware). Again we need more in PES, but too many? 1 per game... would be too much, Man City had 8 last year, Tottenham gave away 7.... if you had those statistics, at best you get 1 every 4+ games, whilst conceding one every 5 (and a bit) games.
People beratting the fact they dont get them in 2/3 games on the demo are expecting too much and if you played Master League or any other offline mode, would getting 1 a game or giving one up each game be fun? Games would come down to variables that dont actually happen in real football and again we are looking at a condense image of the game in PES/FIFA.
Its a long piece of drivel ive written and im supportive of PES being tweaked, but keep an open mind to things, have a look at how you play next time because if you are playing ping pong football... fouls wouldnt really happen in real life against that, unless someone was out to pinder you. Barcelona are everyones favourite team right now, watch them, watch Iniesta etc, yes there are 1 touch moves... but when they get the ball, its not a case of instantly shifting it on, its a case of being confident and drawing a foul and being aware of how having possession at feet is a benefit to you.OS Baseball Dynasty ::
