These settings are designed to get accurate stats, goals throughout the course of a season, and a more sim style of play in your Master Leagues or any game against the CPU.
When I mean "accurate stats", I'm looking for proper shots, shots on target, fouls that lead to freekicks outside the box etc. All this will lead to a proper amount of goals for your team, not just for your star player and assist as well.
Here are 3 examples
Real Madrid averages 21 shots per game. So against a lesser for that will be even higher and vice versa. 9 Shots on target. 17 tackles. 9 shots conceited on defense.
Manchester City averages 19 shots per game. 7 Shots on Target. 15 tackles. 9 shots conceited.
Inter Milan averages 16 shots per game. 5 shots on target. 19 tackles. 11 shots conceited.
Why am I choosing these stats? Because these stats are the easiest to try to see if your games are matching up. Possession doesn't work because that is based on the users (you or I) skill and their tactics. Same for the passing %.
You can check whoscored.com for stats.
Controller Settings
* Manual Passing
* Basic Through Balls (Advanced is broken.Try to only use to this button for lobbed throughballs, DONT ABUSE! Use your manual pass for any ground pass including through balls.)
* Team sliding tackling on Semi. This is key to your teammates helping in the box more.
Game settings
*Game Speed -1
*Match Length 25min
*Difficulty Top Player
Going to tinker with teammates slide tackles on max. Longer games, need all out defending.
Why did I choose manual settings and -1 game speed
I chose Manual so that Human error will be involved and you won't be hammering every shot past the keeper or completing every through ball.
*EDITING*
Thanks to the likes of dmendenhall_9 and others on these forums I have noticed some really great ways you can edit teams and make the games even more competitive and more of a simulation experience.
Say I'm about to play AC Milan, I would go to edit players and give players like Muntari (Not On the squad anymore), Mexes & Alex the playing style "The Destroyer." Plus De Jong that would be potentially 4 players on the field for them that like to mark hard tackles.
Next head over to whoscored.com & look up your next opponent. We are gonna stick with AC Milan. When you click team statistics at the bottom of the page you will see AC Milan Situational Statistics
& AC Milan Positional Statistics, from here you will see that AC Milan is a wide attacking team, that likes short passes & and a possession style of team. Also under the team summary you will see "Characteristics", for a team like Bayern, Possession football, high line, attack through the middle, short passes. Then you will head to your Edit center and go to the game plan for Milan and under preset tactics, turn fluid formations on for their offense, defense and custom. Then edit the when in possession and when out of possession settings for all 3, offense, defense & custom
