they seem to be stuck near the line a lot and shots inside the box are a guarantee to go in.

my overall game is better with fluid formation on, but goalies still suck

I already opened a thread about goalkeepers.

So far no one found out how to improve them, but it seems that not a lot of people have a problem with them.

Personally they break the game for me because it's just not fun anymore if all the shots go in.

Honestly, not really sure what you guys are doing wrong.

I played Peru-Camerooon yesterday and there were two clear-cut chances in the box for them that had me thinking, 'That's a goal,' but then they missed. One was the true definition of a sitter, as the forward pick-pocketed my centerback and walked in towards goal.

Its not about what we do right or wrong. Its not just the AI that scores goals like that, it works both ways. I shot, its a goal. They shot, its a goal.

I just gave you a clear example of how that's not the case. Maybe you're just really bad at defending? Or it could be the level you're playing on?

I can only speak of my experiences and if bad defending was the point I wouldnt be so disappointed by Konami. But the thing is, these goals happen, no matter how good I or the CPU defends.

I wouldnt complain if its just 1on1 situations or situations where the striker is wide open. Its weak shots from outside the box or inside with lots of people around and the gks simply dont react.

You gave your anecdotal experience of two goals in a single game, that's not evidence of anything. People have posted videos showing how bad the goalies are. It's clear there are issues with goalies/goal scoring that need to be addressed.

The goalie is an issue. I edited all of my goalie... Goalkeeping increased to 99. All forward 65 finishing. An 65 max for balance. Defender must have a min balance of 65. Reduced the kick power n curve for forward. So far moat of my game result will never be over than 3 goals. Ie. 2-1, 1-1 or 2-0. I play pro level. Normal speed. 15min. All manual.

I would be fine if they ditched those horrible slow-motion high diving saves/catches. Looks extremely canned and anti-climactic. I honestly don't care that 1-on-1 situations with the keepers end up in goals 90% of the time.

Come on. This is a well documented issue with this year's game. Pesfan is loaded with with people trying to reticify this problem. It's an issue with the reaction speed and range of keepers. It has nothing to do with how someone personally defends.

Exactly. All you have to do is take some penalties and you will see how slow goalkeepers react to the ball.

Guys it has really been a big issue with goalkeepers this year i can only say that from the pc version perspective but what i will say is some one has found a temp fix and also tweaks with ai gameplay which makes a massive difference with how he has also tweaked goalkeepers - YAIRS GAMEPLAY PATCH !! you will find them on google or over @ pespatch his latest patch 1/11/15 combines all his other patches into 1 very easy to use. Change all goalkeepers to have 99 for defensive prowess. This has definitely seen improvements after this change. They will still let some goalies in just like real football but they save a lot more of the 1 on 1s and easier shots that they should. I even scaled some of the better goalies back to 90 as I thought it was OP for them as some saves were too good.

On other threads guys also mentioned changing stamina to 80 and deflections to at least 77. I didn't change those.

It doesn't help that the keepers still have animations that play-out at half-speed but shot power is waaaaay to high and accurate IMO. Top players can strike the ball hard but in order for it to be on distance the majority of them need good, clean contact and because of the lack of some animations, the game often allows your player to get the best possible animation outcome ignoring body physics.

After the patch they were improved but still not good enough. I go in and edit all goalies to 99 defensive prowess and 99 goalkeeping and it has worked pretty well. I will try to make a video of all the goals and saves and post it so we can actually discuss something in here. hahah.
