2017 PC version not same as consoles

If you’re looking to purchase PES 2017 for PC, there’s bad news as unfortunately the PC version of PES 2017 will not be the same as the PS4 or Xbox One versions, PES Brand Manager Adam Bhatti has confirmed on Twitter. Instead, the PC version will be a hybrid between...

Looks to be confirmed that PC version will again be limited compared to console versions. I'm out again.

I'm annoyed at how some devs just neglect PC version of their games, Konami is blatantly obvious at this. I still play PES 2015 on PC, it's a fun game but graphics looks like it took a HUGE step backwards from PES 2013 (one of the most beautiful sports games). I just don't get it, I couldn't stand playing the EA Sports NHL series in the late 2000's on PC for the same reason since they continued to use the PS2 engine on PC vs the updated engine on the PS3/X360 versions.

I really don't see this as a negative thing. For the PC modding community, if we're on legacy cpk files and bin files - then that could be a pretty swift transition from PES 16. Maybe less time to wait on for patches as a result because they're spending less time decoding.

This goes back to Konami being upset with the modding community after they hacked the demos to extend the halves beyond 5 minutes, right? I feel like the free-to-play model they used last year, featuring MyClub, kind of flies in the face of that outrage in 2016.

Isn't this pretty much the case?

I have PES 16 on PC with the mega patch and I wouldn't trade it for straight up for the PS4 vanilla version.

What are we really missing out on?

I own Fifa 2016 on PC, and other than it looking 'cleaner', I think PES 2016 looks just as good in certain areas.

My bro has PES 2016 on PC and I think it looks fabulous and the patches released by PES Galaxy are top notch. I have the XB1 version that looks beautiful. A big shame us xboxers aren't allowed to file share for like PS users. I genrally don't use the unlicensed English teams as they don't even bother making the base kits even slightly resemble the real life kits and in some cases not even correct colours

                    If they indeed fixed...

                    1. Goalkeeper AI
                    2. Lack of fouls

...and kept the gameplay parity between platforms then why the heck wouldn't I pay $40 for the PC version?

Hell fixing those two issues were the only problems I had with 2016.

I was watching a video that compared the graphics between the PS4 and the PC and I wasn't too concerned about the faces of the players. But the differences in the stadiums and the fans in the stadiums was huge. The stadiums on the PC look like crap compared to the PS4. FIFA has it's warts and I would love an alternative to FIFA. But right not Konami just does not appear to care about PC gamers, so why should PC gamers care about Konami. I have a high end PC which includes the 1080 GPU that was purposely built to handle VR sim racing in iRacing (as well as a few other racing titles) and my 1080 GPU is light years ahead of anything the consoles could ever dream of having. But if I was to run the PES 2017 PC game on my 1080, it will look like a 10 year old game because Konami is still using yesterday's graphics rendering technology? Sorry ... but what a waste of money. No thanks Konami. Next ...
