You need to edit the competitions manually (go to edit, then competitions). You can add the real logo from the picture you imported. There is a also a box called details, you can go there and change some suspensions rules, decide where to put the logo and also select the ball you want for the league. You can use the information from the first spoiler in the OP of this thread to guide you. Also with logo check that you don't have special characters in the file name such as "ñ" or "ó" or your PS4 will not see the file.

African national teams are available here:
All credit to the respective kit makers! This is an options file for the PS4 which contains all the team kits for the African national teams.

Edit: It contains kits only at 2084 resolution. Not for me...

Is there a way to change kit resolution inside or outside the game?

Yes look for bulk image resize through google. There are some websites that let you drag and drop.

This kit resolution is so important.

I was down to 568 kits I could add in. I took some time redoing the bundesliga kits from that pesgaming file. Changing them from 2048 to 1024.

I had already bulk resized them and had them on my usb stick. Not only did eliminating the 2048 kits raise my kit limit to 708, I was also able to add in about 12 bundesliga 3rd kits that did not come in with that original 2048 kit bundesliga file.

Right now I have only 5 kits in 2048. Bayern.

Everything else is 1024 and there is lots of room left.

You only had 568 kits you could add in after you imported the OF? How many kits do you anticipate adding? That seems like a ton of room.

ALso, where can I check how much room I'd have left after I import the OF?

I see.. so if I understand what you do correctly, you first load 2048 kits with the bin file that gives all the info about colors, name and number colors and so on, then you delate those 2048 kits and you replace them manually by 1024 kits. Is that correct?

Re: PS4 Option File Thread for PES 2017

Yep sadly that is the only way I have found to do it.

It's not bad, the kit number and name stay from the pin so you are just reloading the 1024 image

                So full example.

Load option file bin, if it has 2048 you delete them after loading the bin info.

Then get together your 1024 files and load them via image. Then go in and attach the 1024 kits to the teams that need them.

Is there a way to import competition names, etc? I've got the logos imported, but doesn't seem like can import anything so the names are done already, right?

Just making sure before I manually jump in there.

Yeah I know this from previous goes with option files.

You have to be extremely careful to delete unnecessary files as soon as possible.

Last year it was tough because there were no file names. This year its so much easier, but if you add a few option files together or the game crashes it can add in redundant kits.

For example, the bundesliga file crashed twice on me while loading it. When I was cleaning out the 2048 files I notice 14 kits had no name and were duplicates of other bundesliga 2048 kits.

I think the hardest part of option file juggling is making sure you don't have unused images taking up space.

The good news is anything you delete can be added back if needed.

Oh one other thing to note.

The skybet file I grabbed had an incorrect norwich gk kit.

I grabbed the correct kit and renamed it to exactly what the one in the game was and added it by usb. It did not say it over wrote the file but it did.
I went in and checked and the right keeper kit was assigned and the old one gone.

As someone who has never downloaded anything for this game, and will for the first time this year with my PS4, posts like this help SO much. Thank you, this heads up should help. I'm not good with computers and this process seems daunting.
I am the lesson after the fall.

Can 2016 PES option files be used?

I have seen a few posts elsewhere about classic team OFs and it intrigues me. I wonder if old classic team OFs can be applied...unlike current team OF these files should be pretty static (i.e., don't need to be updated for transfer windows, etc.). Does anyone know if they can be used and if so, who published the best ones?

Yes you can. I did the other day because I took the kis for the Championship from the pesworld file so I deleted the one from pesgaming from the flash drive and replaced it with the files from pesworld.

                                What I do is this.

                                Wepes folder is default

So I grab another option file. Name wepes on your usb stick to wepes mine

Then add the new option file onto the stick. Its now wepes

So say that file has skybet on it I wanted, I add the bins/kits to the game and then rename it from wepes to wepes skybet and continue on.

I find it best and safest to keep and collect the files on your stick.

That way you can alway go back, and because the game only ever looks in the wepes folder having the "backups" cause no issues.

You can get clever and add bits and pieces to your wepes folder but this is more of an "advanced" move, you need to know what you are doing.

All in all the process is quite simple and the new importing features konami has added are terrific.
