Difficulty Levels - Stuck Between

Hello, hoping that some of the community can offer me some advice....loving the game, but I am completely stuck between difficulty levels right now....on regular, its way too easy for me and on professional its way too hard for me where I can barely ever score. Is there any other settings I can change on Professional level that may ease things up a bit or am I stuck?

On a similar note, I really stink at being the goalkeeper and when we go into penalty kicks, I can't stop a single shot. Is there a way to have the computer control your goalkeeper during penalty shots? Or am I out of luck again?

Regular in 2015 and 2016 were easy but for some reason I struggle sometimes in 2017, even lower overall teams and they press and long ball all match long, up that difficulty to top player and the difficulty gap from regular isn't that different but opponents react a bit faster.

However I set game speed to -1 and it's a bit more relaxing to play against the AI so try that.

I haven't messed with the speed setting yet so maybe that might help improve things for me if things were slower...I'll try anything

Well two more games on the slowest setting using Professional....zero goals. hhmm...gotta be something I am doing or I just have to admit I stink at this

I hear ya, dude. I struggle to score on Regular sometimes. The CPU defense is pretty OP, IMO. The way they can just swipe the ball off your feet from any angle is infuriating. It makes even trying to score from in the box mostly a futile effort for me because I don't really know how to use skill moves effectively.

I handle it somewhat by using the Gurgenpress(spelling?) in advanced tactics and just try to beat them by catching them on quick counters. Otherwise, I mainly rely on crosses and corners to score.

I rarely get long build up goals because it's incredibly hard to break down the CPU D once they all get back.

Yep, the CPU can be tough...just such a big difference between regular and pro, wish there was something in between.

I would always go with the level that is too hard as opposed to the one that is too easy for the simple fact that you'll get better with the game in time.

Any advice for better shot accuracy on Top Player? I seem to score pretty consistently in exhibition mode, but for my ML, I've only put in 1 goal in 6 matches

For me it's not about getting shots - as I'm averaging around 6-12 a match; I just keep hitting the post or having the goalie keep making those annoying snags were he doesn't even parry the ball, just outright catches my curled shots... Team I'm using in ML has a 75 forward and a 70 SS.
