Question about lack of fouls

Is it normal for PES to have an extreme lack of fouls? I don't mean just yellow or red cards, but fouls where free kicks are warranted. I've seen alot of plays and tackles made by defenses where it should have been called atleast a free kick, but the refs just let them slide.

One play I remember should have been a penalty and I looked at the instant replay and it was definitely tripping, but it wasn't called and play just went on.

Is this normal? Is there a slider to turn up fouls?

Unfortunately there is no slider. I find it varies from game to game. I had one game where the ref was calling fouls non stop, but only 1 yellow card. It was Free kicks galore that game. Then the next game I played, the computer's tackles were of the butchering nature. Like shin breaking tackles. No calls nor cards. The ref just let them play on.

I noticed playing longer halfs makes for more fouls. In my ML I play 25 or 30 mins halfs and the cpu usually fouls more than me.

i only play 10 minute halves but seems like derbys have more fouls. if you challenge the computer via dribbling more u will draw more fouls

Yes....one of the reasons I still play PES5/WE9.

Spurs vs utd, I was spurs. Utd had 11 ghouls, 4 yellows and 1 red.

This is the first game I've played where fouls happen often.

Give it some times guys. Once I got out of the way I used to play FIFA and learnt some moves to draw some fouls, I am seeing a decent amount now. 25 minute games. Even had one game with double figures by both teams. I was lucky to see double figures with both teams combined in FIFA, so this is certainly an improvement. I do think they have some kind of referre logic (lenient, strict) that we cannot see as some games there are a lot more and some they just dry up.

For me, if i play on a higher level like Pro, i got fouled more.

Tried Regular and had less fouls but it might be a one off thing.
