PES 2018 Online Beta Available Now - Post Your Impressions Here

The PES 2018 online beta is available now for Xbox One (Xbox Live Gold required) and PlayStation 4 (PlayStation Plus NOT required) users. It includes 1v1 and 3v3 modes with the ability to change time (day/night) and weather (fine, rain). Only 2 teams (France and Brazil) are available in the online beta, playing at New Sonne Arena.

Servers are online now. Get a few games in and post your impressions!

Played a few matches this morning and enjoyed it. Game is waaay slower and ball feels really free. Rammel29 is my PSN let me know if you see me online.

The online connection has been perfect so far. The game looks and feels great. Only negative so far is the matchmaking. It's kinda slow but got better as I played more games.  Not usually an online gamer, but maybe I should start. I'm a little better than I thought. Got a 4-1 win and made another guy rage quit after going up 3-0.

I haven't been able to beat anyone by that much yet lol. I do notice you can get easily punished if you constantly press.

Also there are some new Advanced Tactics/Instructions.

I saw two new ones on Defence.

Wing Back which finally allows us to use 3-4-3/3-5-2 properly.

Defensive which stops your fullbacks from overlapping.**Correction you can stop players from going forward tested it a bit more in a recent game.**

Lol, 1st game I get a goal at the top of the 2nd, the guy quit.

1: pace feels great

2:I'm loving how the ball is it own thing and will continue on its path while the players battle for position. I'm so used to Fifa and having the ball just stuck to you feeling.

My first impressions are GREAT ! PES is back...

It's only a online beta but you can definitely see all the improvements made so far on Pace & Game's tempo. This was a must-do for this upcoming game. Glad the devs listenned .

3vs3 seems a lot fun, when it works... but like this beta is for that purpose testing the servers in order to fix it when the final version releases.


I made some pretty amazing goals. Still some issue on matchmaking for me but nothing to do with the game itself.

ps : only con why animations net are still the exact same old one. Visuals & commentators are on point but how in the world can you miss a detail like that. Don't even see when I score sometimes

Saw these two tweets from Adam, really good to hear. Personally I don't plan to spend much time with the Beta since I am not really an online player.

I definitely like the pace of the game. It has slowed down but in a good way. In PES 2017, always felt like my opponent was faster than my team no matter the player.

Just wish they had more than two teams.

People worried about games being end to end you probably dont have to be too worried as I have yet to experience a match like that. It could be because I use fluid formations but take that with a grain of salt. Also been using a 3-4-3 with France it is really fun.
