Re: PES 2018 Full Game Impressions

A few things I have noticed that are in this year's game, that I didn't notice in last years. Apologies if they are in 2017.

    1. Cleats leave wear and tear on the pitch which is an awesome little touch.
    2. Playing in rain, socks and jersey's get dirty which looks very nice.
    3. Live broadcast camera is so awesome to play with. Love the zoom in close to the sideline, and I really do like the first person view in or near the box. Makes defending really intense and satisfying if you can get the ball away from the cpu players.
    4. I'm seeing at least 1 foul per game, with more cards shown. Maybe it's just the way I play, but I'm at least seeing this, and getting or giving up free kicks.
    5. Love the set pieces and how they feel with no ''guide arrow''. Free kicks are taking some getting used to, but it's more realistic now.
    6. Love the heading. Really enjoy seeing the misses by the keeper and player on crosses, corners etc too. Really adds to the realism of real life footy.
    7. CPU really pushes late game if they are losing. Blew 2 late leads in a row because I didn't control the ball. Love the aggressive CPU tactics. You really have to be on your A game all match.
    8. I love this game. Way better than last years.

One thing I haven't seen anyone allude to is how good the crowd is now. Gone are the robotic crowds with everyone doing the same moves, etc. They are varied and look very good.

Only played a couple of games, but there are certainly fouls. Not enough, but they are there. I had 6 fouls in a default 10 min game, 3 a side.

Not having the online servers up for the PC launch is pretty poor. 1/2 this game is unplayable without connectivity.

I keep getting a notice when I start the game that my computer doesn't meet the minimum specs and that I need a 2gb graphics card. Which I have. And I'm able to run the game at the highest setting at 60fps with no stutter, so it's perfectly fine.

I can't make it thru a single game without it crashing. 6700K and 1080TI, so well above specs needed to play. Several others with similar specs also reporting this. Thinking refund at this point.....

Re: PES 2018 Full Game Impressions

I'm trying to decide which game to keep.

I bought PES on both PS4 and PC right now with the intention of only keeping 1. If I return the PS4 version it will be for NHL 18 or NBA 2K18. I bought it from Gamestop so I have 7 days for full exchange.

                Choices are:
PS4 PRO: I have 4K and HDR so basically better graphics but I'd be limited to Option Files.
PC: I don't have the greatest rig so I can't run it at Ultra settings, but it still looks good. So not as great graphics, but open to the endless Modding community. I loved PES 17 on PC and modded the crap out of it.

                Decisions Decisions.

I'd go PC for modding reasons plus this year PES on par on pc with console.

Can't you use option files on PS4 pro??

In terms of gameplay, is there a significant difference between the full game and the demo? Or is the gameplay very similar to demo?

Very similar except Top Player and Superstar seem more difficult in the full game.

Haven't played much but I have a 7700K & GTX 1080 and no issues so far.

Are all summer transfers up to date straight out the box this year or do we need to wait for an update again?

I refunded. No time to waste on this. Several others reporting the issue with no clear fix. I was not enjoying what few bits I was able to play before crashing. The lack of fouls and open space is just too concerning. I only play MLS teams, so amount of work to make or edit another's OF is just too much to bear. I will wait it out and see how FIFA fairs or just go back to PES17 For my fix.
