How do I send a player on a run?

In FIFA I would hit L1 and he would start a run, how do I do it in this game?

there is a couple different ways to do this in PES.. this is with assisted controls which most use and is default

Teammate control ---> hold L1 and then point or flick R3 at the player you want to make a run. it will then highlight player you select to trigger run forward

Pass and Move ---> Press R2 when passing to make the player run toward the opposing goal upon completing a pass

One-two ---- pressing X while holding L1. The player you just passed with will then run forward.. before the ball reaches him .. release L stick and then press triangle or L1 + triangle to return pass to him

Dynamic one-two ----you can also press x while holding L1 and then by holding L1 still you can push the R3 to any direction you want the player to run.. as well...


there is all game controls and commands in the games menu system as well when go to help

So there is no way to just make the AI run for a through ball like FIFA then. It's not a big dead, my players make runs all the time anyways.

I don't like the fact that I have to take control of the other player for the run to work.

When I do that a bunch of icons start appearing over there heads is that what's supposed to happen because I didn't see any icons in the video. I also have it set to assisted instead of manual, is that the right setting?
