How is your Master League or Become A Legend going?

I've seen this type of thread on many other games, but I have not seen it here. I really enjoy reading other people's stories of their franchises, careers, or dynasties. I hope that others will join me in sharing their story with this game.

DISCLAIMER: I understand that a lot of people are unhappy with this game due to the poor AI in matches and poor AI in club management. Please, just share your story if you want to and you are enjoying the game. This is not a thread for sharing your frustration with the game. There are other places for that.

My story begins with my first ever Master League with PES. This is actually the first time I have ever played a PES game, and I am still learning the nuances of it. I am having a blast so far, but my Master League has not been going very well.

I decided to start my Master League with Leeds United. My initial goal when starting was to try to get promoted to the Premier League, but my goal has since changed. Leeds United has started 0-7 and the owner is not happy. His trust in me has dropped all the way down to 11%. I have not met any of his missions so far, and I am afraid that if we do not win our next match I will get sacked. The last sentence of the most recent mission states, "Win the next one." Since this is my first time playing this game, I do not really know if I will actually get sacked if I lose this next match, but I do not want to find out. In any case, my new goal is to save my job! I agree, BAL gameplay seems awesome first time on football games. I even think AI is better than NBA2k-series AI on MyCareer. Somehow it doesnt have same problems with low crosses etc. as ML or other gameplay modes.

What's the minimum Owner Trust you need to not get sacked, I'm 3 games into the 2nd half of the season with Milan and owner strust is 26% lmao. I'm on challenge mode some of the goals are so unrealistic.

I’m not really sure. I have gotten all the way down to 6% in my ML. I even got a message from my owner that said my players were not responding to my leadership and that “maybe” it was time for a change. At this point, I still have a job and my owner trust is at 8% after winning my last match. I am also playing on challenge mode.

Now down to 4% owner trust after two loses tonight. Still have a job at the moment. Maybe it needs to get all the way down to 0.

Well, it’s official... I finally got fired. Sitting at 4% owner trust, I actually survived for three more games. I won the first and had draws for the next two. Owner trust was a 5% at the time. It happened just before the start of the January transfer window. Timing makes perfect sense. Obviously, I’m disappointed as I really feel like we were improving. In all honesty though, if I was the owner, I would have fired me long ago.

In any case, now I have to decide where I want to take my “talents” next. I have two offers available that I am considering. My options are Sheffield Wednesday or Rotherham United. Both teams are at the bottom of the table just below Leeds United who just fired me. I think I can only go up from here. Or, I guess, I could just get fired again.

LOL damn rip. I managed to JUST get past my first season with Milan I failed pretty much all the owners missions. The only thing that kept my job was winning Europa League. It was my goal to get Milan back to CL after my first season. And I literally just clinched at the end by winning EL, because my team choked at the end of the season and finished 5th. It was such a grind in the end but it was really fun.

I made some big signings this summer transfer window. Boateng, SMS, Modric. Sold some players to get money to sign said players. It's titles or bust for me this season as the owners trust is at 13%. I was so happy to finally get back to Champions League with Milan and I end up getting the group of death. Real Madrid, Chelsea, AC Milan, Young Boys. First game tonight of my Champions League at Chelsea, Modric making his debut.

I'm definitely getting fired if I don't succeed in CL or Serie A this season.

Welcome back to the continued career of Matt Kaag. As many of you already know, Kaag was fired from Leeds United just prior to the opening of the January transfer window. Luckily, he was offered multiple positions prior to being fired. The decision on where to go seemed simple. Why not take the position at Sheffield Wednesday. It would be a great opportunity to face off against rival, and now former employer, Leeds United. Can Kaag take his revenge on Leeds United, and show what he is really capable off?

Into my 2nd season few games after the first half of the season has finished. I'm really on the clock at this point, started the season great after signing: Modric, SMS, Boateng and then god knows what happened but so many losses it's crazy. Currently sitting at 7th in Serie A, and just squeezed out to the knockout stage in UCL.

To start off the second half of the season, I was hit by a shock I never gotten in FIFA or PES ever. A team triggered the release clause on one of my players. Freaking Real Madrid bought Higuian and he agreed and left to Madrid. In his 55 appearances for Milan Higuian scored 29 goals, and had 8 assists. First game with no Higuian, the team failed to even get a shot on target and lost 2-0 to Udinese. Eden Hazard has showed interest in coming to Milan so let's see if I can get him, trying to see what I can do with my striker situation I already have Cutrone but let's see.

Lautaro Martinez is a good striker with SS like dribbling abilities - available at 11 million euro range. I think you should go for Suarez, Cavani if you can to replace Higuain if you have money.

Thanks, I'll look into him when I'm home. The Higuain transfer shocked so much I was literally starring at the screen for like a good minute LOL. It was nice to see first time ever an AI triggering my players release clause.

I switched my formation to a 3-5-2 as my first string:
- Romagnoli, Boateng, Calabria
- Martial, Laxalt, Modric, Kessie, Inaki Williams
- Higuain, SMS

This formation began to do so damn good in which they played I think like 4 or 5 games, switching SMS from RCMF to SS was amazing, he's been so good at that position. So now I replaced Higuain with Cutrone.

My 2nd string is a 4-3-3:
- Schulp (From Crystal Palace), Caldara, Mussachio, Conti
- Fabregas, Bonaventura, Biglia (will be selling him to Napoli for $28M)
- Hakan, TBD, Suso

On my bench is: Bakayoko, Casemiro, Samu Castelljo. I am thinking of getting Hazard and putting him in spot of Martial in the 1st line and moving Martial as my striker in the 2nd line. Or maybe changing the formation to a 3-5-2 for my 2nd string as well.

It's just funny that Madrid won La Liga and went to the UCL Finals last season and then I bought Modric and Casemiro and they been struggling this season and then outta nowhere they come in and just take my striker.

I'm loving this years game and Master League. I'm at 14% owner trust, I don't think I'll survive this season unless players become magical

I’m also really enjoying this years game. I’m having a lot of fun trying not to get fired. It’s a struggle for sure, but I’m enjoying every minute of it. Have you gotten the message from the owner that says he doesn’t think the players are responding to your leadership? I got that about a month ahead of when I got fired from Leeds United. Have you been offered any new positions yet? Any plans on what you might do if you get fired?

I'm now in week 23 with Fenerbahce SK in Turkish League in my 1st season in ML (Top Player Difficulty)

It was really a struggle in the beginning, lost a lot of games but the last 10-12 games i finally hit a stride, won the last 5 games, won 9 out of last 10 games. I don't know if it's because Team chemistry rose to 90+ or because i switched to 2 striker system which really unlocked the team's offense.

I nearly re-shaped the whole squad, playing like this:

3 centre backs
1 defensive midfielder
2 attacking midfielder
1 left wing forward
1 right wing forward
2 strikers

It's a pretty offensive line-up but the game suggets my favorite approach to attack is counter-attack which is probably true. Because in this game I learned that you can't press high, the teams pass out of danger very easily and find the open man immediately so I rarely use press button and try to stay in my position on defense. When i get the ball back, my wingers and midfielders are talented and fast enough to start an efffective counter attack.

The best defender of the team is Daniele Rugani, he's playing at the center of 3 centrebacks, i bought Yeray Alvarez from Bilbao- 23 year old 79 rated defender and Lyanco - Brazilian young defender from Torino - rated 74 to set-up the defense.

I also bought Unai Nunez from Bilbao again- 77 rated , 21 year old defender and using him as back-up now, waiting for him to develop.

I don't pay much attention to player's ratings, their play style is more important for me (their strenghts and weaknesses). Unai Nunez is rated higher than Lyanco but Lyanco is stronger and good on the air which is important for me.

As DMC I use Zuculini - bought from River, 77 rated 26 year old Argetinian and Bazoer - 22 year old Dutch CM, 77 rated as back-up and Mehmet Topal- club's veteran at rating 80 is on the bench - age 32.

Again i don't look at the rating so much, Zuculini is good on the air, with his feet and defending - he is more balanced than two - Topal is slow, Bazoer is a better fighter but Zuculini is better on the feet.

My AMC's are Marco Asensio- very funny that RM sold him to me for 28 million euro and Lucas Paqueta - Brazilian wonderkid who just completed his transfer to AC Milan for 35 million euro in real life. He is rated 78, lefty, technical. I use Yassine Benzia, Mehmet Ekici as back-ups.

On the RWF I have Lucas Moura. Thanks to Tottenham I have another classy player. On the LWF I just obtained Justin Kluivert, i'm using him. I bought Lucas Ocampos from Marseille but didn't like him much, I also use SS Vitinho as back-up on LWF from time to time. Kluivert is fast which is what i look for in a winger.

My main strikers are Lautero Martinez from Inter and Alessane Plea - bought on free transfer. Martinez is highly technical and can manouver with the ball, Plea is a nice finisher. A good combo. I have Islam Slimani as a back-up striker who is great on the air and Andre Ayew.

My main strategy in ML is always get the young talent cheap, develop them, always make the team younger. Sell the old players who are not vital for the team and also if a player is 30+ year old and not a top 3-4 player in the team, i don't pay him a high wage is his contract is up, I sell him and get a younger player with lower salary.

I really enjoy the ML now, was struggling at 12,13,14 spot now 3rd, 1 point behind 2nd team and 9 points behind 1st team. I can go for 1st if i keep up this form but i'd be okay if I can finish 1st.
