Ugh, I love PES but Konami kills me with this stuff.  Told myself last year that I wouldn't buy the game at launch again, maybe next year I can stick to my guns.  I'm happy to support the game, but when you turn around and slash the price less than 2 months later, makes it hard to continue feeling like a sucker.

I followed through with that plan. I think I'm going that way for all games these days, with all the patches that are needed anyways.

how much different is it than last years?

It's a lot better than last year in my opinion.  Far more diversity from the AI in terms of attacking, and after the last patch it seems like there's less space out there, which is crucial.  Still can't figure out why this game makes my PS4 Pro run so loudly, but if that's my biggest gripe then I'd call it a good year for Konami.

Bought this deal a few weeks ago for 50% off.  Wasn't digging FIFA 20.  Like the game, it's fun to learn something new.  But overall it's ok.  Lot of the features that FIFA has I miss but the gameplay in PES is better. 

For $30 its a solid game but don't expect to be blown away by the game if you're coming over from FIFA.
