Imagine being Messi to not only have to leave your lifelong club but then the game you rep makes you look like you've been punched in the face repeatedly after a heavy night of drinking.
Live updates are cool but there's no way to revert them is there? I like starting a ML or CM with the lineup as it was at the start of the season. I like the aspect of the alternate timeline and comparing it with the real season.
Making the controls less complicated I think that's just because they think people will be cross-playing with mobile users. I don't think they need to up the complexity but I think it was already in a good spot. It should be toughy to pull off skills.
Off topic: People think The Show controls are complicated? 2K I can 100% agree with though.
Now just tell me about ML before I drop some cash on a PC version of last year's game.

You can always disable Live Updates before you start your ML in PES 21 by just pressing either L3 or R3. You'll get the default ratings from whatever Data Pack you're using.
I've only dabbled in The Show's RTTS mode but I thought it was fairly complicated considering the last baseball game I played before that was MVP '05 which had a fairly easy scheme to pick up. Could just be me though ha. I was going to include combat games in there but I think the control scheme, and mastering it, is what makes that game fun and creates the dreaded "skill gap".
I'd like to see what features, if any, are next gen specific. I assume the PS5 haptics even though that's the controller I use for my PC based PES. I've also heard some rumblings that games using the Unreal Engine are harder to mod so I guess we'll see
