In my latest Revs game, here's my transfers (so far):




Playing a 4-1-2-2-1 (basically a 4-3-3 with 1 DM and 2 CMs and an AMR & L). Occasionally I can move one of the wingers to another forward, depending on form and fitness, etc. Works quite well actually and isn't at all unbalanced.

League standings so far:



Got a good amount of games in hand (as many as five on one team), so playoffs should be a fairly simple task to reach.

Okay, this is more than just a little bit ridiculous. It's extremely ridiculous, and I hope the transfer logic is vastly improved in FM 11.

Here's what just happened.

I had a 40 mil bid accepted for a Sevilla player valued at 34 mil. He asked for a salary, and I agreed to all his terms. Since I was the only team who had bid, I thought I had the guy no problem.

In walks Real Madrid who make a bid of 19 mil, way under the player's value. I don't sweat it, as I figure there is no way Sevilla would be stupid enough to accept the bid. Only Sevilla does accept, the player signs for Madrid, and Sevilla kisses away 15 mil.

And before you go thinking 40 mil was too high a bid, I had to negotiate down to 40 mil, which was right on the bottom of what my scouts said I would have to bid.

I'm not a rival of Sevilla, or even in the same league (Bayern Munich/Bundesliga), so this makes absolutely no sense.

I'd be less upset if this was some sort of fluke, but stuff like this has happened before. It's not a regular occurrence, but it's not rare either.

The Real Madrid manager and Sevilla manager are probably "friends" or the Sevilla player is friends with the Madrid manager or Madrid are listed as one of his favorite teams.

So, if you really hate yourself, do what I did. Start as a Sunday League reputation manager in the 8th tier of England. Part time contracts and no money. Fun!

I'm attempting Mangotsfield in the Zamaretto Division One South/West. I start out over my wage budget of $1300/week with a board that will not allow me to sign anyone further. My only staff is an assistant manager. Hopefully, I'll be able to take in players on loan from league 2 reserve squads. I just played my first friendly on the road, and there was 34 people in the stands.
