So my current crop of players at Palmero would be willing to die for each other. Has anyone ever got that before?

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
At one point in my first season at Palmero I was 11 points out of first place, due mainly to a terrible start to the season. Things didn't get any better when I was bounced out of the quarterfinals of the Champions League and was lying in fifth place. Then my team's confidence started growing. We won, and won, and won some more. My assistant said the player's were willing to die for each other. A unified, high morale team is huge in FM, and we went on a 14 match winning streak to pull into a tie for first place with two matches left. Milan and Palmero were tied on points, and Juventus, Roma, and Geno were all just two points back. It's the closest title race I have ever been involved in during all my years playing FM. Fortunately it ended how I had hoped, and we closed out the season in a triumphant 4-0 fashion:
So I've won the league in my first year at Palmero, and I now have the TIM Cup final to look forward to. It's against league runners up Milan, and as this is their only chance to get silverware this season, they should really be up for the match.Comment

Umm......I think you're trying to say you'll help me if I explain. I don't need help about any issue, I was just remarking that my assistant manager said in the team report that my players were so close they would be willing to die for each other. It's the first time I've seen that, so I was wondering if anyone else had seen it as well.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Well, I hammered Milan in the TIM Cup final to end the season on a successful note. I'm now looking to sign a striker, LB, and AML. Because this is my first time managing a top club in FM 11, I'm not sure if there is just a striker drought in my save, or if the ratings for strikers are lower in this year's game, since I'm finding nowhere near the striking talent I did when at Bayern Munich in FM 10.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I went 61 league games without losing at Inter.
My Current season, I have once again lost my top Strikers to long term injuries. And I've decided to take the QPR job. This is my final season at Inter, will leave at the end of the seasonComment

I love the loyalty shown by the backroom staff when I leave a club. With the Mass Exodus news
Cant believe they are that loyal, even after I lowball them with contract offersComment

I went a perfect 10 for 10 in qualifying matches:
I also sit in first place in the league, unbeaten through October. Things are going well. Let's just hope a poor run of games isn't around the corner.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Just had my best game in my return with QPR.
Carling Cup QF vs Man United at OT.
Within 20 minutes I am down 3-0.
Wellbeck gets a goal for me just before halftime.
After the break, I get red carded. Down to 10.
Then this 20 year old kid comes in as a sub and scores in the 85th minute. Then we score again, going to ET.
They score quickly, boom we answer back with 2 more to win 5-4.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I have no luck in Cup competitions in England. My 19 year old keeper goes to the Emirates and shuts them out in the first leg of CC. He then goes 75 minutes in the second leg before Arsenal scores, lose the overall tie 1-0
In the FA Cup, I play Bolton in the semis. Go to ET tied at 1. They score early, we then score in the 119th minute. And boom on the last kick, Bolton scores to knock me out.
No luck.Comment
