Soon they'll be flying a plane over with your name on it to get fired.

In the MLS, what is the difference between the contracts I can offer people? (Senior, Senior Entry Level, Developmental).

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

Well, last time I posted I had just won the German 3. Liga with Offenbach and was worried that having absolutely no money would mean I couldn't sign any new players or resign my out of contract players, and I was right. The board reduced my wage budget and would pay no more than 30% of a player's wages for loans. With a depleted squad I started my 2. Bundesliga campaign at 4-6-2, good for 13th place. Then Portsmouth offered me a job coaching their Championship side, and as they were slated by the media to finish second, I took the job.

Sure, Portsmouth has no money, and yes, they are sitting in 10th place, but I've won three matches straight and am just 5 points off a playoff spot at the season's midway point. If I can get them promoted, my reputation should rise exponentially and I should be able to move to a big/fairly club. In FM 11, getting Nottingham Forest promoted to the EPL netted me the Palermo job (the best team in Italy at the time). While I'm not expecting to get that big a job upgrade if I win promotion, I do expect to be in demand. I had better be, seeing as how Portsmouth also doesn't have any money.

From the stats you completely dominated the Citeh match. Did your defenders just plain forget how to defend?

This game has a sick sense of humor.

Also this caught me by surprise:

            Mets/Giants/Knicks/Rangers/Manchester United/Notre Dame Football

Never let fear determine who you are. Never let where you came from determine where you are going.

The biggest thing that caught be by surprise is after two sackings after Wenger going to Barca, Arsenal were looking at the legend know as Steve Kean. lol

They ended up going with Jol Martin but I was hoping they would go with Kean. Would have made my matches against them more entertaining from that perspective.

I love when you get a few seasons in and you see things like Rio Ferdinand managing teams or past stars playing at some 3rd division outpost.

I think it happens too often though. I already have Davies (Blackpool), Heskey (Sunderland), and Drogba (Wolves) coaching in mine.

Drogba managed to get Blackburn all the way to the 5 spot in November and left that position for Wolves which are 20th. I thought that was pretty odd.

I know Alt can feel me on this:

                    Salomon Kalou: The Offsides Machine.
                    Too Old To Game Club

                    Urban Meyer is lol.

I agree - they move up the ranks much to quickly. I don't mind if they start lower because a lot of the managers come from the playing ranks. But too many are managing in the Prem a year or two removed from retirement.

He went to Barca in my offline save, and he went to Barca in our online save. I'm detecting a trend. And come to think of it, Jol Martin is Arsenal's new manager in my offline save. Weird.

By any chance did Louis van Gaal have a stint at Arsenal as well?
