Well, here we go. My "get acquainted" save for FM13 will be with Hearts.

Well clearly it takes more than team talks. My Arsenal squad finished 8th, but i got a 4 year extension somehow.

Since I'm at it, I thought I'd share what I like to use for my Custom View on the main squad screen. This fits nicely if you have a widescreen monitor, play windowed mode, and your resolution settings are something like 1680x1050.

That's the exact same thing I do. Although a weird glitch I'm experiencing is that the ***-man ratings seem to change slightly each time I visit the screen. For example, a striker I have has changed from 3 1/2 stars to 4 1/2 stars, down to 3 stars, and back to 3 1/2. Strange.

Trick I learned about team talks: If you set your prior experience to "International Footballer", team talks are a lot more effective.

Yeah, my team rarely responded negatively to me with international experience in the online save. But I always start as Sunday league experience in my career saves for the greater challenge.

Alright guys, thought I'd start posting in here as well as the Madden section.

Anybody been managing in Ireland/N.Ireland/Wales? Finding it a lot harder to sign players outside of the UK compared to previous versions! Managing Portadown, normally have a save with them and try to make them competitive in Europe. Towards the end of my 4th season, won the league in 12/13 and 13/14, struggled massively in 14/15 and fighting for the title in 15/16!

I'm now messing around trying to create a good asymmetrical tactic. Some weird formations from me, but it's fun to see if they work or not, and why some go wrong.

The Steklo skin is about 87529432 times better than the eye-searing default. What happened to default dark? After the skin I was using wouldn't work after the last update last year, I just went default dark the rest of the way and it was fine.

I would bet they release the dark skin in one of their patches, but it's stupid they didn't include it to begin with. I mean, how hard is it to just use the color scheme they did last year and just adjust things to fit the new menu system.

In other news, what a way to start the season! When I scored the last-gasp winner, I jumped out of my chair, pumping my fist mid-air, and startled the lab I was dog-sitting.

Play with Swansea, I realized I need a Striker bad. Danny Graham is has been terrible so I have Itay Shechter starting and is doing well (15 goals in 26 games) but he's a short term fix as it's only a 1 year loan. Looking through strikers, my scout recommended me 21 year old Mattias Destro as free transfer. Excited to have him for next year, still looking for one more striker though.

I could see why people like Fellaini, playing against Everton he was dominating the midfield. In my save, he wants a move to a bigger club and has been linked to PSG and Man City. So I'm hoping he gets something done with PSG so I don't have to face him anymore

LOL, playing as Hearts, I draw Liverpool in the final Europa League qualifying round. Oh FM, you're funny sometimes. Only fixture that mirrors the real life draw.

Destro is good. Had him at Inter in my FM11 save
