FM, you never cease to amaze me. So, I draw Jamaica in the hex and lose to Costa Rica(basically was the Bryan Ruiz show), yet I can beat a solid Honduras squad(who used it's first teamers) 2-0 with a thrown together u-20 squad + a few older guys like Lichaj and Joe Corona in the Gold Cup qualifiers.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Finally figured out how I wanted to play out my Chelsea save so I pulled the trigger and started it up. Think I'm going against what most people who are controlling Chelsea are doing by keeping Nando and trying to get him back into "that guy". I really want to focus on youth like I was doing with my Heerenveen save, but I will make sure JT, Lamps, Cole and Cech retire in Chelsea blue.
Main Moves include
IN:
Lorenzo Insigne $14.5mil from Napoli (he can play up top and on the either wing which I like)
Felipe Anderson $8.5mil from Santos (he's what Oscar was to me in FM12, but much cheaper)
Doria $850k from Botafog (future CB star)
Carl Jenkinson $22mil from Arsenal (not really sure what happened with this, I went into a mini rage after Gino Peruzzi's work permit got denied and for some reason Jenkinson was the end product. I'll roll with it though and move Brana back to CB and have Jenkie and Azpil my main RBs)
Malouda ($3mil) and Paulo ($1.2mil) were the only 2 guys sold with a bunch of youngsters heading out on loan.Comment

Also, it's really weird when people buy players that I buy for their squadI don't know why.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
He went to Barca in my Hearts save as well. And they've won both Champions League titles so far. I'm just starting my third season. This is still the only save I've started so far. I'm sure once I get my annual Liverpool save going that I'll go through seasons a lot faster.Comment

The way I wanted to play was to only focus on buying young players and waiting for the loanees to come back. De Bruyne, McEachran, Courtois, Chalaboh are all looking like good prospects to develop.Comment

There are a number of ways to make the save fun I've found. For one, Roman doesn't pump in money like the older versions, so you really have to watch your wage budget as Chelsea have A LOT of players making high wages.

I played the Community Shield against Man City last night, which I lost 1-3, and if I were on the sidelines for real I believe I would have been red carded and given a touchline ban. The team was horrible minus Sturridge's lob goal that was just like Ramires's against Barca in the CL semi.Comment

City signed Müller in my save too for 74M, yet he hasn't played a single game for them and only play on their reserve team.Comment

He goes to Man U in June 2013 in my save for about €45m. One game into the season and he didn't even make the bench, but here's hopingComment
