Now that I've played 13, I wouldn't go back. It was worth full price. But if I didn't know 13 existed, 12 would certainly be fine.
I really hate that feeling too. I tried booting up 12, and my last save file on there, but it's just not the same.

Yeah, it's kind of hard to put your finger on, but every year the game just "feels" better. They fill it in with things you didn't know you needed but make the experience better.

For example, they add new staff roles. Now I can hire a Director of Youth Development, set players as available for loan and he offers them out for me. Then I just monitor the offers when they come in and reject any I don't like.

Between the Head of Youth Development, and Director of Football, I'm in heaven. I don't have to worry about players I don't want anymore. In previous iterations, I'd just eat their release fee to get rid of them, or full-on beg teams to take youngsters on loan, now I can just sit back, and worry about the senior team, check out the occasional reserves/U19 match, and when players complain, I can assign them to the transfer list and normally within a week or two there is something worked out.

2019, made it to the finals in the Champions League and will play Manchester United.

Beat Liverpool 3-3 (2-1 on away goals).
          Beat Sevilla 5-3.
          Beat Shakhtar 4-3.

However, I might get fired as my players don't give a **** about the league. Currently 5th in the league, 8 points behind Lille for 1st place with 4 games to go.

I am about to start a save with HJK of Finland. My goal is to make them regulars in the Champions League since they haven't been to the group stage since the 90's. I also created a Nordic Champions League for the top Nordic clubs haha.

When I verified the game cache, Steam had to download 11 files. Hopefully, that solves my runtime errors. I can't play a match since the patch.

That should fix it. Maybe your anti-virus blocked something the first time around. That happened to me the first time I downloaded the patch before this one.

Champions league final vs. Man U. My team got out to an early lead, scoring first 3 goals of the game. I thought it was going to be an easy win, but Man U scores at the 45th minute and then Lewandowski scores 2 goals in second half to make it 3-3.

However, in the extra time refs calls a penalty on Man U and my guy scores a PK to get us the W 4-3. Champions of Europe

Grats dude. Nice development. I have Zouma as well on my Milan save. He's so so good at such a young age. He's well worth the money.

Speaking of my save, I've won all 10 of my Serie A games. Have not faced Juve or Inter yet. El Shaarawy got a major boost in this patch and he's awesome. Pazzini's been my leading goal scorer with 9 goals while Super Mario has been a little underwhelming. He's typical Mario - scores goals, but hates training and is either really good or invisible.

I've been handed a 30 million transfer budget before the winter window so I went out and signed Okore and Maxym Koval as my future #1. Okore will join in January while Koval will join for the start of next season.

Other than Zouma, the Milan defense is terrible. Mexes is OK, Zaccardo is a backup, and freaking Zapata makes so many stupid errors it makes me blood pressure pile during games. Thankfully, Zapata's on loan so when Okore joins, it's bye bye to Zapata.

My next goal will be signing Verratti. Yes he's gonna be pricey, but he's Italian and key to my plan of rebuilding Milan into being a European and Italian powerhouse. My spine will then consist of El Shaarawy, Balotelli, Niang, De Sciglio, Zouma, and Koval. Not a bad group to build around

Started an FM13 save with Southend in League 2. Started unemployed and they fired their coach on 10/27/12 and I started on 11/7/12.

Southend sat in 24th at 1W 6D 9L in league play. GF 11 GA 26 GD -15. They also lost in the League Cup and Johnson's Paint and had a 15 game winless streak.

Their minimum expectation was promotion to L1 and to cut payroll! LOL.

Since I took charge we're up to 19th but we lost in the FA Cup. That wasn't too damaging but I got the dreaded losing patience and if I don't get a favorable result in my next match...... All because it's promotion or bust!!!!

We won 1-0, so I can breath until the next match with 11 games remaining.

I think the board is smoking something if they think we're moving up and they also want salaries cut and raise cash by selling. We're in a financially tough situation.

My main CB gave me a vote of confidence by speaking to the press. He basically said the board should chill out and not make a knee jerk reaction.

About half of the senior squad has contracts up after the season and only 1 is playing well enough to keep.

                              I've played 20 games with 8W 9D 3L. GF 33 GA 21 GD 12 W% 40. We've gone 15 games without a loss. I've also finished 3rd twice in the manager of the month.

I brought in a couple players on loan and signed 2 on free's that had really low wages. Hoping I cant get to the summer to see if I can find some players on loan and on the cheap. We've been playing a 4-4-2 and 4-3-1-2. I want to switch to a 4-3-3 and find a better a**man and coaches.

                              Will the board back me?

EDIT: IN 13, I like the transfer deadline day feature and the reporter answering machine. They don't always take your call. LOL.
