Only thing I could find is that they were at one time separated during the East/West Berlin split. Other than that, intra-city rivals? Idk.

Here I thought Inter was about to just let me go after my one year deal expired...

Right, so I'm back after an extended break from FM for a while. I'm looking for a relatively easy game to get back into the swing of things so I've taken over Celtic who I've had success with before.

I give it 2 days before I'm moaning about something.

I found this somewhere I thought this was hilarious:

        Mets/Giants/Knicks/Rangers/Manchester United/Notre Dame Football

Never let fear determine who you are. Never let where you came from determine where you are going.

In the most awkward turn of events, I forgot to re-sign around 21 staff members, so I decided I would just rewind and reload so I didn't have to go through so many staff signings, and lo and behold, Inter refuse to give me a new contract. I end up going on a month-to-month contract, and decide I've had enough. I sold the team, most for undervalue, released all staff, and left Inter. I'm incredibly petty like that. Now I sit unemployed, as the most successful American Manager, and await a team to come along. Also, I hope Inter face down relegation.

Doesn't FM block transfers? Either way though...

They only block free transfers/buyouts, I bought Christian Eriksen for 40M, and sold him to Monaco for 10M. Almost everyone was sold for half value, when most of the team was gone, I released most of the staff, then on the final day, when there were but four first team players left Vid Belec, Mikel Arteta, Tim Howard(just signed), and Jonas Thorsen(one "continue" from joining Madrid)I released the final few staff members, and made sure Thorsen made his way to Madrid, and then Moratti offers me a new deal, I promptly rejected the offer, and resigned. the new manager will at the very least, get £188M transfer budget to work with.

Update: Inter are top of the table, and managed to sign John Obi Mikel(one year after I sold him), Diego Costa, Ryder, Jesus Navas and Vurnon Anita.

              It's now 17 Dec 2017 and I've accepted a job with Leverkusen.

The reason is because BFC Dynamo and Hertha are in the same city and are kind of rivals. My goal is to dethrone them and become the best club in Berlin.

I'm pretty new to FM and soccer and started a career in the MLS as D.C. United and can't lie regarding international slots and super draft picks I have no clue what I'm doing so I traded a few international spots for super draft picks lol Is that good by any chance and are drafts deep and have any good players?

The MLS is always a tricky spot to start as a first game (not that there is anything wrong with it.)

I wouldn't really call it a "guide" but I'll try to get the gist of the league typed out here.

The schedule I really won't go over, but it's not set-up like "normal" (read as: European) leagues. You play 34 games. Top 3 from each conference qualify for playoffs. 4th/5th seeds play for the last playoff spot. From then on it's a regular 2-legged (2 games scored on aggregate) knock out playoff.

                    Contract types:
                    • Designated Player - (David Beckham rule). High Profile signings. Can be paid more than the maximum wages - but only counts 4.2k towards the salary cap.
                    • Senior - Normal contract. Can be paid anything up to 4.2k
                    • Senior Minimum Salary - 575 per week. League minimum contract.
                    • Reserve - Players under 25 that don't count towards salary cap (Can have up to 6 I believe)

                    Transfers:
                    • Player Trading - Easy enough to understand.
                    • International (Discovery) Signings - Get up to 6 of these each year. Foreign free agents and signings from outside the MLS.
                    • Draft - there are 3 drafts.

                    Drafts:
                    • MLS SuperDraft - This is the "big" draft. Where the young players and regens enter the league. Outside of discovery signings, this is where you'll get your good young players.
                    • MLS Waiver Draft - If you get rid of someone (and can't sell/trade them) he gets waived. This is where you have the opportunity to pick up released players on waivers
                    • MLS Re-Entry Draft - Draft for free agents released by their clubs. You can *normally* just not worry about this draft at all.

I think, at least early on, trading away international slots (your discovery signing slots) for a few draft picks here and there is fine. It's a good way to build from within.

Another thing to keep an eye on (I just started an MLS save as well.)

Be sure to check your academy teams and everything to see if there are some players worth keeping an eye on. I know that I found a couple future players that I have on a shortlist that look very promising for the future.

For some reason, my regens don't have a picture. It's just blank.

3 or 4th straight games where I allowed a PK, seriously so frustrating.
