Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
If you have a creative team with players able to play multiple positions and in complementary roles, you should go with fluid. That way players will "flow" around the pitch all the time, using their creativity and flair to create chances even if it means abandoning the formation they're supposed to play in. Be careful though, even you have a team not suited for fluid play your players will just get out of position and not do much with it, which will result in a disaster.
Personally, I usually go with flexible for a good balance and after some time I change it to fluid when I get a better team. When you have a great team, it's easier to overwhelm your opponents when playing fluidly.
Logos don't come with skins, you have to download them separately. I'll send you a link in a private message, don't want to post here because of the TOS.Khalabeeb - Tony Henderson

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I'm playing the dangerous game with FFP this year, If I finish below 12th, without player sales, I will most likely fail the FFP regulations and lose over £4m. Went all in on signing Kevin-Prince Boateng for my run to stay up in the Bundesliga.
EDIT: since people have been inquiring about tactics, here's my currently terrible tactic:
I'm the worst person to ask though, as I change my tactics all the time, I have no tactical consistency.Last edited by Suntan Superman; 11-23-2015, 09:51 AM.Support Local Sports

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
For me, since FM 2012 the main goal has been to have at least 60% possession, while also being solid defensively. When you have the right players it's deadly going forward and you'll also concede very few. I don't have it loaded up atm but in my last full season on 15 I scored something like 98 goals in the league and only conceded 15. It's basically three central midfielders; an AP/A, a BBM and a DLP/D. Then two wing backs set to support. After that it's an AML and an AMR set as wingers to support and a complete forward or trequartista.
I haven't played 16 enough yet to be fully familiar with it but I'll be embarking on a career soon.Comment

Go to the sortitoutsi front page to get other mods you might want as well. The big one for me to get done first is always the club crest graphics because I can't stand looking at the generic ones.Comment

The other key is going through each of the player roles and comparing the important stats to your own players. Experiment and have fun. I'd recommend you start with a good team as you do have a larger margin for error given talent levels and transfer budgets. Obviously, if you continue to struggle, you'll get sacked
Lastly, I'd also suggest that when you start your pre-season, set your training to high fitness and tactics focus. That way, your team can become familiar with your tactic. I also play a lot of friendlies against crap teams to build morale and tactic knowledge as wellComment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I've decided on a Liverpool save folks. Arsenal will wait until the Jan window patch comes out. As much as I wanted to do a lower league save (and I still will), I wanted to take over a club that has some talent, but also needs work and are in a European spot.
I'm gonna disable transfer budgets and hope I can return Sturridge to the goal machine he was for me when I last played a Liverpool save on FM14.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Managed to qualify for Europe in my first Bundesliga season by going on a tear after breaking my wage budget to sign Kevin-Prince Boateng. He proved to be an absolute difference maker in the second-half of the season. went to re-sign my striker Ivan Saponjic decided that Berlin wasn't the place to be and refused to re-sign, so he got sold to Chelsea for £10m. Apparently playing games wasn't something he was interested in. Signed Julian Green on a permanent transfer for £5m, and signed Brasilian striker Luis Henrique for £5m+add-ons to replace Saponjic. John Brooks joined cheap from relegated Hertha BSC to provide cover/rotation options for our Europa League season. Gokhan Gul was somehow released from Bochum, so I snapped him by offering him more money. Signed four loanees to help cope with fixture congestion, so we're hopefully not going to see our form drop. Hoping for another top 7 finish.
The Europa League draw was kind to me, Dnipro, Fenerbahce, and Partizan make up my group, and while I won't call this group easy, it is at the very least winnable.
Tactically once again, I'm really good at changing, I decided to switch it up to better utilise both Luis Henrique and Kevin-Prince Boateng, while I sacrifice some of Krystian Bielik's abilities as a defensive mid, going with at 4-4-1-1 seems like what is best for the club.
Planning out fixtures figuring when i can give the regular first team a break when suddenly
I really dislike the schedule makers for the Bundesliga.Last edited by Suntan Superman; 11-25-2015, 07:33 AM.Support Local Sports

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Well, I decided to start as Strasbourg in the Championnat de France National. I picked them because they are past Ligue 1 winners, and I want to return them to their former glory. In addition, they had successive promotions from CFA 2 and CFA to reach the Championnat National, so I want to try and continue this recent success en route to a meteoric rise to the French First Division.
This is going to be a challenge, as this club of part-time players is way over wage budget, has no transfer budget, and the board refuses to get a parent club which limits loan options. Fun times.Comment
