You can copy most things between folders, like face packs, kits, etc. But skins wont work.

I actually like that better because it's more realistic, but wondering if there is a setting that allows you to see the whole list of attributes right off the top?
When you first start a save, there is an option to disable player attribute masking. This disables the ranges and none attributes and will show you them for everyone as if they were 100% scouted. I prefer to do this in fm18 because I hate the new scouting setup.

Regarding the scouting ranges, it does still do ranges until you get a scouting report in 18. I prefer to leave it that way, but I don't really consider it cheating to turn that off. It's not like it's hard to find it anyway.

You can also now purchase scout packages to increase your initial knowledge if you can afford it.

Well, we're all in for a title challenge now. The core are all in their primes, and so we've gone for it. Emre Can was moved to PSG to secure more funds. Someone had to go for big money, and since the midfield was crowded, it was him. Our transfer budget will be a bit hamstrung due to installment payments over the next 2-3 years, but the team is pretty much set for the next 2. Will be looking to win a league or CL title in that time, or this plan will be seen as a failure.

Pleased that he has hit the ground running

Is this new since the last patch? Or has this been there for higher division and I just never saw it playing in the small leagues?

        -----

And we are on track after the January window. Predicted to finish 3rd, and currently sitting in 2nd.

Didn't spend any money or bring anyone in during the window. But sold two and loaned two. So hoping for not many injuries or we could slip a bit. Expected to make the playoffs, so even if we do I just need to finish 6th or higher.

And speaking of Dybala, United just bought him for 63M. He is 30 now and listed as a Legendary Striker, I've never seen anyone listed as Legendary before. He scored 145 in 290 for Juv and 48 in 81 for Argentina so far.

Pissed away a chance at the Carabao Cup final.

Had a 4-2 lead on Man City in the first leg, and ended up losing 3-1 on the 2nd leg.

Missed a sitter in extra time that would have done the trick.

Also sent Rooney’s fat *** to the reserves, he wanted a transfer, and luckily Real Salt Lake came through. They offered 3.8 million and I owe him 2.2 of a loyalty bonus. So I make 1.6 million and get his albatross of a contract off the books.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

Year 2 at Chelsea ended in mostly disappointing fashion, yet again the title went to Man U. Despite having the usual Abramovich money to spend, I kept it rather frugal in the summer as I had the likes of Zouma, Abraham and Van Ginkel coming back from loan and they had a place in the squad in some capacity. I did splash a little bit in January, getting my Pedro replacement in a somewhat impulsive buy...Christian Pulisic for 60 mil.

I was in the title race through March, but the high number of matches took its toll. While I won the Club World Cup in December, that jacked the schedule up(despite only being 2 games) and I had a run of sad, scoreless draws and 2 losses that cost me in the end. My defense of the CL ended in the Quarter-finals against - who else - but Man U. I managed to win the FA Cup final over them, though ultimately it felt more like a consolation given their dominance over me the last 2 seasons.

              Year 3 summer transfer window

Not entirely happy with some of the out-going transfers for year 3, but I'm not going another year behind the evil empire and ties have to be cut. Musonda not wanting to renew his contract was unfortunate, so he had to be let go on a free. Cahill and Luiz would've made good cover and experience, but wanted more playing time than I could promise so they were shown the door.

I absolutely did not want Kante to leave, but PSG offered and he became dead-set on going back home to France. Though I do have Kante version 2 in Idrissa Gueye, it's still a tough loss. Kante and Morata basically funded the Icardi move, Albrighton and Shawcross bring experience and cover. Romagnoli and Carvalho slot right into the first team with Icardi, while Rog and Troupee are high potential players who'll be solid for rotation. Gunn was just a cheap backup GK.

Might bring in a few more players, but no more big spending. Hoping I can bring the title home, the board are getting impatient.

Damn Paulo, that's heartless. Assisted Mane's goal too.

                  FM in a nutshell:

Sam Vokes with a first half hat trick, your young RB gets sent off after, tell the team how you feel at halftime, and end up scoring 3 goals with 10 men to rescue a point.

I just wanna say something quick in regards to this, it's your save, you should absolutely enjoy it however you want. I've been called out before on other forums because I have the editor enabled, and I use it to edit uniforms. I personally don't use it to edit players, or for any other reason(I will say that I did a few experiments using the "maximise tactical familarity" function though) Unless you're playing an online game with friends, or attempting to "compete" with other people with an established set of rules, you aren't cheating. If you are going to enjoy the game more by purchasing the in-game editor or a real time editor and make your League Two team full of superstar players, by all means DO THAT. This is a game made for your enjoyment, do whatever you want to enjoy it!

All that being said: Year one in the Premier League is done, we struggled at the end as I admit I got lazy and basically Pulis'd the team after we hit 40 points. We ended up with 50, and in 11th place. I think the foundation is set for a nice stay in the Premier League though.

I got a notification after the club announced that they cleared the debts that the board were set to make a considerable investment to get us into the top half, so I started this off-season with a 78m transfer budget, promptly spent 12m to bring in Patrick Roberts, 14m to bring in Erik Sviatchenko, 3m to bring in Angus Gunn, and 5m to bring in Alfie Mawson. We'll see how we continue to fair in the Premier League, but I like our chances a lot. Last seasons signings were nearly all hits(and one miss has been off-loaded already with the other two with one foot out the door. I'm hoping to push for top half. If we had done better down the stretch we might've hit a Europa League spot.

Can't really enjoy a great start to the season because United have to one-up me on everything. We don't play each other until December.

Obviously it's early, so we'll see how things unfold. Icardi is already proving his value with 7 goals and 3 assists. It's really not fair with my front 3 being Hazard, Icardi, Pulisic. They play so well together. I'm quite glad I got rid of Morata, he was streaky and more often than not, hit large goal droughts.

So I noticed this kid sitting in my U23s:

I thought that is a hell of a name for a striker. And hes decent too. Lets move him up.

The last five games for him off the bench (he sat for 15 games unused prior):

Hes has 8 shots, with 7 on target and scored 6 goals! I mean, its gotta be the name, right?

Also, here is when hes scoring those goals:

First two games we were already winning when he came on. Third game he rescued a draw. And the last game he scored the game winner.

I don't know if I keep this kid as a super sub, or start giving him starts.

Hes really fourth choice, and I only play with one up top. So probably keep him as a super sub for now. But he does need regular first team to get that last push to finish his development so he is ready for first team with us.
                          Spoiler

Hes going to start demanding first team or a loan.

He just did it again. Six games in a row now. On in 81st minute.

I made the mistake of giving him a start and his run ended

                            Two questions:

                            1) How often do you change tactics? I kind of feel like if it ain't broke, don't fix it, but also am tempted to mess with things--likely too frequently just because there is SO MUCH that can be adjusted.

                            2) Has anyone found a skin for a smaller resolution (1440x900)? I'm fine with the default 'light' skin--but some of the others look really good, and I'd like to try, but playing on a 13" MacBook Air, the panels mess up unless I go super small (85%).

Finally caved and purchased FM18 today. Started a save with Arsenal—immediately signed Ozil to a new four-year deal and sold Alexis to City for £70m. Now to go spend some money.
