I think my new favorite thing about this years game, is on the player offer screen in your inbox. When an offer is made for one of your players, his agent gives you feed back before you do anything. And you can talk to the player before you do anything with the offer. And if you persuade them to stay, you can just cancel it with no repercussion. Its fantastic. Or it will say, his preferred choice is X club. So you can reject it if you don't get the money you want.

Anyone else having trouble DL kits from the FM Slovakia site? I'm getting a 'busy signal' if you will.

If you're not using that, what are you using? Can't stand looking at these generic kits lol

Is anyone else needing to send players on holiday because of tiredness? Halfway through my Chelsea beta save and I had to send 4-5 players on holiday, I have my AssMan taking care of the training btw.

I haven't got too far into my save, so haven't really seen issues with this as of yet. However, the team at FM are looking into possible fitness/injury issues per this tweet.

Nothing like beating Chelsea 3-1 away, then following that up 4 days later losing 4-3 to Palace away.

Important note for training, whether you or your assman are controlling it, is to check out the "Rest" tab. It's up to you how you should go about this, but ensuring players with low condition aren't training too hard will help limit the possibility of a training injury.

You can also increase the intensity, but I'm staying away from that for now to avoid over-working my players with the amount of matches they'll be playing.

So I'm on my sixth save in the beta as I try out different things(i've also filed 100+ bugs) and the only time I've had an issue with injuries is when I had a high intensity system. I also think that my threshold for injuries is much higher than most.

I really haven't had an issue with injuries either, this year or any other year in FM, for that matter. Played a bunch of matches today and only had a few minor injuries where a player is only out for 1-3 days. I do like to rotate my squad regularly, though, which certainly helps(as does a little bit of luck).

The injury issue only exists when using the gegenpress. But, the gegenpress is also overpowered as ****. You can win 80%+ of your matches with the worst team in a league. So all the injuries that happen during matches is a fair offset, lol.

Has there been any word from the FM folks about it being OP? As in, it's actually an issue? Or just an issue from what you've seen?

SI haven't said anything as far as I know. But they also played down the 4-3-3 issue last year. Their forum however is filled with people complaining about it. I'm not the only one who has noticed it.

This Hannover save I started, I was using a 4-4-2 counter system and struggling a bit. Then switched to a 4-2-3-1 gegenpress and the wins have been ridiculous. I just finished 3rd in the league and am playing in the league cup final. There is no way these payers should be able to play this tactic successfully. Nor should we be winning so many games with the players we have.

We were 6-1-6 using a system we should have been using. 13-3-4 with the gegenpress. I switched up when I started reading all the posts in their forums about how easy the game was. And my experience with the full year of Liverpool. People on their forum started realizing they were all using the gegenpress. And finishing 3rd in the Premier League with the likes of Cardif City after making no transfers.

Start under the direct counter 4-4-2:

After switching to gegenpress attacking setup:

And I have no idea wtf happened to Bayern and Dortmund. They sold a lot of their players and brought in worse players. It made no sense. The AI for them seems broken in a weird way.

I wish I had made a static save when I made the change, so I could go to back and continue from that point with the first system and see where the team ended up. I bet we'd have finished 13th or 14th. Maybe 12th.

Maybe its all in our heads. And maybe I complain too much about things that don't matter, lol. I can just not use that tactical setup.

Ok so I've asked this in the past but am still a bit confused regarding face packs.

I've got the sortitoutsi cut out face pack from FM18 (not sure which 'version'). I know there's been multiple updates since the once I originally DL, but I have not updated anything.

I see there's an 'Update Pack 11.0' available for FM19. Should I just DL this? Or, given I didn't do any of the updates last year, would my best bet be to just start over with the full pack?

I have pretty slow internet, so a 10GB DL would take all night, if not more. Which, is fine--I just, don't want to have to do that unless you guys really recommend I go that route; and--subsequently keep up with the updates this year.

                            Thanks, as always, in advance.

Just had my best Champions League run ever.
                              Spoiler

This has probably been the most successful save I've had in a long time, I've won the Bundesliga and Cup every year and now added the Champions League title. My team is scoring at will and opponents are often left without a shot. I play equally offensive home and away, because the game doesn't adapt to offensive away teams.

                              Here's my formation and instructions.
                              Spoiler

Vertical tiki taka is very OP in the beta, it overwhelms opponents and they never adapt to it. My wingers always cut inside around the box and find either Werner or one of the midfielders who are running into space. Unlike the last few years where overlapping was OP, this year it's easier to exploit the middle of the field.
Another key to this tactic is the regista. You must have a creative, technically gifted and phyiscal player at the position, basically an attacking defensive mid. Kovacic is one of the very best for the role and he dictates play like no player I've ever had.
Also, a lot of players are complaining about their strikers not scoring, but for me Werner has 35+ goals every season as a Pressing Forward which isn't supposed to be a great role for scoring.

So far so good, I'm absolutely loving the game.

I would download the updates so you won't have to download the new one they will release eventually. Downloading the updates will be faster than downloading the HUGE fresh updated one for FM 19.
