Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Nice call on the TCS, that is much better as well. It actually looks like the old Virtex skin I used for 16/17. I like this. I'll keep this and make mods to suit my own preferences I think.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Defenders in this version right now are broken. Pretty much unplayable. Every centerback is just a moron and can only walk to get into position. The amount of long balls over the top is a joke. The amount of times the CB is caught out because he is just staring up field and walking backwards is a joke. Or the fact that they dwell on the ball and let attackers just take it off them for one on ones. How is this ME this busted for defenders by the time you get to a beta release?
I don't just mean my players either. It happens to both teams. And I see its been brought up on their forums a bunch already also.Last edited by Zac; 11-06-2019, 05:34 PM.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
It depends on the level of club I'm managing. Lower league teams I do everything. And as I rise up the ranks I add more and more delegation. And at a top team in a top league I delegate a lot. Like if I was managing a premier league team I'd delegate all scouting, general training (but do individual myself), all staff hiring but the DoF and HoyD. Everything for the development teams (u23/u18) is delegated to those managers and the HoyD. All youth contracts, incoming/outgoing transfers for youth players. I mainly just focus on the first team in a big club and let others handle the youth. And just look it over a couple times a year to see if anyone is worth promoting.

Same problems I run into lol.
I get down a rabbit hole of scouting and wind up sifting through stats in foreign leagues, international competitions, etc lol.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Just had my first “crash”. Interestingly enough it was in my first attempted match.
Bummer. Although I think I saw somewhere that crashes in beta have been pretty common on Macs?

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Just so we're clear, the first pic is the things I do, the second is what I delegate. I sometimes feel like I delegate too much, but otherwise I become a total control freak, and at bigger clubs it is extremely time consuming. How much I do really ends up depending on how much I trust the other staff to make good choices.
I don't care much for the social media aspect of FM, but every now and then I get a chuckle with comments like the last one that poke fun at the FM Community.Support Local Sports

My new favorite thing is the monthly mentoring update email. Where it tells you exactly what is happening with the players in your mentoring groups. Instead of you having to guess check your players after having forgotten about mentoring for an entire year.

Futbol for Gringos has a pretty good write-up on natural vs inverted wingers. FYI, their "Tactics Tuesday" series contains pretty good info in general, but the site hasn't been updated since 2011.

Inside Forwards will be in line with your strikers, where as inverted wingers will be a bit deeper where someone like an AMC would play.badComment
