Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I have an Arsenal save in preseason that I’m going to get working on.
There’s multiple names on my hit list that are going to be frozen out of the squad. I plan on going full Dortmund.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
After not really getting into my last save, I've decided to play in Spain for once. Spain is a country I always seem to avoid. So as to not just pick a team randomly myself, I ran 10 simulations of the first season. And then gave points on a few criteria.
As you will see below, I gave three points for a 20th finish, two for a 19th finish and one point for an 18th place finish. Then I assigned two points to jobs open on June 1st, the date I stopped all sims at. Then went back and looked at manager changes at or after Christmas in the league, and assigned one point for those.
Here are the results after 10 sims of the 20/21 season:
Posting link and re-posting this since the site cut off the last few columns of the pasted in spread sheet. Which makes this post just look like a wall of text now, lol.

I could have based this just off of relegation finishes. And if I did that, I would have been using Cadiz, as they finished 20th the most times with four. Even though they tied Huesca for relegation points at 18. But since I added all the other criteria, Huesca ends up being the "winner". So I'll be using them.
In every sim, they ended each season 5-8M in debt as well. And they only avoided the drop in two of the seasons. And in both they finished in 17th by a couple points. Cadiz also only avoided the drop twice. But in one of theirs they finished 16th. Also to note, oddly Cadiz never once fired their manager. The only other team to never do so in all ten sims was Elche. So how could I take that job. And all twenty teams scored points. Sociedad being the last to do so in the ninth season. Huesca was also the only team to score 5 points in a season, and did it multiple times.
This was a lot of work/effort to put in without even actually playing yet. So hopefully I enjoy this save. I'm about to start it now.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Got close, even beat them 3-1 at home, but I couldn't pass Barca. Lost to them in the CdR final as well, but that's as good as a trophy to me.Attached FilesComment

Really struggling to get into a save this year!
Thinking to sim to Christmas and take over a struggling team, Sheffield Wednesday look like they're in all sorts of trouble!Comment

Aouar is a good signing, Jack Stacey is a solid player I've brought him when I was managing Hull City in FM19, I don't know if he's good enough for top level Prem tho!Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I'm pretty surprised there's not more chatter in here about this year's game. I've been enjoying this version more than the last few years by far. The 3D engine is the best it's ever been, goalies are worlds better, and I feel more engrossed than ever into the world I've created in my save.Teams:

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Part of the reason I haven't said much is even for how much I've enjoyed the game(and it's a lot) I've played so much over the last 10 years, that I kind of feel.... out of ideas? I spent pretty much every save pre-winter update so far jumping around, and not really sticking with anything. I started my yearly Viborg save just because I feel so out of ideas.Support Local Sports
