Quagliarella, who oozes class in real life, managed to bag only 1 goal, even though he managed 5 clear cut chances (I had 7 as a team) on his own! You're ****ing kidding me! A 15 finish, no matter his 12 composure, should be able to slot home more than 20% of his CCCs, especially in such a big game. His first and only goal came in the 6th minute, meaning he missed 4 consecutive chances. Over the course of the season, he also has managed only 2 goals on his 20 shot attempts, with 15 of those shot attempts landing on target. Wow. Talk about choking when it counts.

Would you guys recommend asking him to learn a trait? What would be best? Shooting with power, placing shots, rounding the keeper, lobbing the keeper, something else?

Go with placing shots I find that if strikers and attack minded players learn this, they don't fire as many wide....

Hutton - Barca start out with a modest budget as does Real Madrid for some odd reason. However, once the TV money kicks in and when you hit the January window, you get a ton more cash

He's not shooting wide though...that's the problem. 15 of his 20 shots have been on target, a very high percentage. Maybe shooting power will help then?

Well, during the wait for the World Cup (My group contains England, Argentina, and Ghana. Ouch. We were seeded first too.), through means unknown, we have achieved a world rank of 2.

Also, I will be taking over FC Energie Cottbus in the 2. Bundesliga. I had a few opportunities in La Liga, but I liked the prospect of coaching in Germany for some reason. Also, this team seems to be pretty well rooted in the 2. Bundesliga, while the La Liga teams were on the verge of relegation.

Pretty excited to attempt to brave the group of death, who knows.

          I think so

Back to my season - I've changed my philosophy. I was playing a fluid tactic and decided to try "very fluid" for fun...

The result - a 4-0 win over Tenerife...I think I'll try that against a better team, but Barca have the creativity to play free-flowing football.

I was always interested in what these settings really change/effect results.

I play my 4-2-3-1 with Attacking, Fluid......I wonder what would happen if I changed to very fluid, or let my players run out of formation more often.

I can't argue with the results I've gotten, but it is tempting to switch things up for fun.

The only thing I really change is from Attacking to Control/Counter with a lead or defensive in the waning minutes. Otherwise its a straightforward attacking tactic, which doesn't yield many goal, but oddly enough is a fortress defensively.....

Got killed in the WC. Went 0-0-3. Unacceptable, even with our tough group. Hope the FA doesn't take it too hard.

Just drew Aston Villa nil-nil at The Lane. Tough match, Villa's speed (Abongalahor & Young mostly) were had to defend & they had their chances on goal.

Lennon came on in the 86' to replace Bentley & had a rebound sitter from 10 yards out that he missed in the 93rd minute that would have sealed the 3 points. The draw pushed Spurs back to 2nd in the table.

Here's my ultra successful defensive tactic.

                  And my squad stats:

Nice work I'll be posting screenies when I get a chance. I'm about to play the World Club Cup Final. I am still unbeaten and still haven't dropped any points. My team is unbelievable right now lol

I just beat Man Citeh in the League Cup 1-nil at The Lane. I never should have won this match, I was dominated for the first 55', then switched up to a counter attacking strategy & was able to even up the possession a bit more.

Then the miracle happened. Bale fed Henrique at the top of the box, he took one touch onto his left foot & fired home a screamer from 20 yards, good enough for the 1-nil victory.

Otamendi conceded a terrible corner in stoppage time, but City couldn't capitalize, missing a wide open chance at goal.

The incredible run continues. Unfortunately next up is Manu, just 3 days after the City match, and I have to visit Old Trafford.

Made a solid comeback recently...down to the last match against Bristol Rovers and am tied with Colchester for the last promotion playoff spot, but they hold the tiebreaker. Hopefully Leyton Orient comes through for me.

EDIT: Did the usual "get a 2-0 lead and allow a late equalizer" deal, plus Colchester won, so I'm stuck in League 1 for another year.

Here are some screenies of my Napoli save. The team's looking quite good at the moment, even though I've scraped away some results that I should have taken home comfortably.

That's quite an attacking assortment you have there at Napoli.

Must be fun to play with Lavezzi, vander Vaart, Hamsik & Quagliarela....even though your CB leads in goals.

Two of Campagnaro's goals are off of corners...the other one's off of a broken free kick. I'm telling you though, Quagliarella just simply cannot capitalize on chances, to the point where I "got angry" at him in a post game talk, called him out in the media, and sat him the next game. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh on him, but he's pissing the **** out of me.

EDIT: Campagnaro just scored again, this time away at Chievo to take a 2-1 lead in the 78th. Corners to the far post are seemingly nasty. I used to have them sent in to the 6 yard box with my CB set to challenge the keeper, but I've now switched to sending them far post. van der Vaart to Campagnaro seems to be working wonders!
