You've either asked recently, they've increased it recently, or they just plain won't even entertain the question.

Yeah, that could be it. Just try not to focus on something that you can't change that's just frustrating you. Have to be creative in the lower leagues with bringing players in. And sometimes, you just have a hole in your squad for awhile and you have to figure out how you're gonna deal with it.Comment

Yeah. One thing I've picked up after doing a couple lower league saves is that players who are naturals (or at least solid) at multiple positions are INVALUABLE.Yeah, that could be it. Re: Any FM-related questions? Ask them here
If I remove leagues now, and it removes them at the end of the season, does it remove those players in that league. Or will I still be able to scout them for transfers. My database is way too big, and its starting to get really slow on day to day sims.
I actually think its better if I turn the detail level down on some of these. Looks like a lot of them were set to main stages for leagues I never plan on playing in.Last edited by Zac; 01-29-2016, 10:32 PM.

Re: Any FM-related questions? Ask them here
Hey guys! Just bought this game for the first time ever last week. Been digging in and getting frustrated but also learning and enjoying.
I've picked Whitehawk in Vanarama Conference South and will try and build them up. I'm about 6 games in, went 3-1 in my friendlies and am 2-0 in conference play so far.
I've got Wigan to be my affiliate and just added a solid GK/CM from them on loan. I've hired a Director of Football, Chief Scout, and Scout. Also my Asst. Coach left in a week so had to get a new one.
Anything you think I NEED to do that is basic and I haven't? Maybe something that is buried and hard to find but important?
Also, my specific question is about my boards max weekly salary cap based on role. It feels like all the guys on my team want more than what my board's max is and wont go any lower in negotiations. Is there a way to change the weekly salary max? Is it as simple as adjusting the total budget slider? Do I have to ask the board for it specifically? Or is it just because my team has some financial issues and owes loan money?
Any help is appreciated, but I also am okay with just figuring some stuff out myself

You should set up your training to make sure you have your players training the specific role they will be playing, and the specific individual ability you would like them to focus on improving. You want to do this for every player in your squad when you first start a save, and then again for each new player you bring in. Also, make sure you monitor training progress so you can change things up if needed. And after doing that, find suitable tutors for your young prospects. Be aware that that the tutee's determination attribute automatically adjusts to that of the tutor. So don't have a senior player tutor someone with higher determination, unless you are okay with that stat going down. And make sure you have coaches assigned to each training category, as for players will not improve their attributes in a category if you don't have a coach assigned to that category.Hey guys! As for your salary, your board will set the max wages. You can adjust the transfer budget slider and put excess transfer funds back into the wage budget, or you can ask the board for a higher wage budget. But the board won't approve that request if your financials are bad. And since you said your team has financial issues, any request that would involve the board spending money will almost certainly be rejected.
Finally, because you are playing in a lower league with little money to be made, you will likely be relying on loans and free transfers to improve the squad. So I would start scouting players whose contracts will expire at the end of the season and players your assistant believes are realistic loan targets.
I hope this is helpful. If you have any more questions, there are a ton of knowledgeable people in this forum who were one in the same boat you were, so don't hesitate to ask.Last edited by rsnomar05; 02-11-2016, 09:47 PM.Comment

Re: Any FM-related questions? Ask them here
Why should they be entitled to anything? If said player doesn't want to be there and his contract is up, that means that team has no claim to him once his contract expires. They shouldn't be compensated because a player doesn't want to play for them. If they want to be compensated, they should sell him before his contract expires. Them getting free money one month before a players contract expires is stupid.
