How's the game this year? I haven't played the series since FM14, though I spent countless hours since Championship Manager. Steam reviews are very negative but I don't trust them tbh.

It's very good. If you haven't played it since 14, you'll be very surprised to see how much it has changed.

As a numbers guy, it really is, as there is even more data available now. The addition of the data analyst is one of my favorite things.

FM12 was my most played until FM16 hit. I can say FM17 will break that mark so yeah, it is worth the upgrade.

I would assume it would go sale again during the Steam Summer Sale. But that is like 3.5 months off.

I didn't make the upgrade, but that's just because I bought 16 (and FM) for the first time about 5 months before 17 came out...so I'm just waiting until November this year to get 18.
